This is the 1st book I read by Kate Welsh. I liked the Christian theme in this story. I liked Patricia's character. I liked Travis's character. I felt sorry for Travis. I thought this book's storyline was boring even though I finished this story it was hard to do.

We don’t get the chance to live things over. If we did, I couldn’t pick those times.

Let’s face facts, here. We don’t mourn for the ones who’ve gone on. We mourn for us.

Gripping

Loved the turns of the plot. It was a great story that really kept your interest. The climax was very exciting

4th book in Faith on the Line series.

Travis Vance was a living dead man. He had lost his wife and child in a boating accident and quit living himself.

Major Patricia Streeter had said no to marriage as a young woman who did not trust love. Two weeks later he married her college room mate.

Now they meet again and must pretend to be dating again to work on a case.

The line between pretending to date and what they felt for each other grew smaller with each day they were together.

it's nice that rather than just piling more and more suspense onto the mystery, that some things are now being solved! i like how they're peeling layers of the plot off, while still leaving us in suspense about a few other things

also, i'm once more surprised at how six different books, written by six different authors, flows from one to the other so well
