Read for research essay for university course. This book was so good. Quick read but interesting since it was a topic I have no experience with and had varied formatting throughout. The poetry was stunning. Even though this book is older than I am, I felt it had implications for the rest of my career.
Well, even though it is a very North American point of view, and it is rather old, it was satisfying to read. As a lesbian and as a teacher there have been a few things that hit my heart hard, hence the four stars.
Quick and interesting read--older, too, so not exactly as applicable but still enough so.
I think I enjoyed reading this book more than I enjoyed the book itself; I'm not sure how much sense that makes, but it's a feeling I tend to get sometimes.
