Love sometimes comes along when it’s most inconvenient. In these three stories of inconvenient love, our heroes have more pressing problems than finding love.
In “The Planner,” Vincent is left trying to find someone who can coordinate events at a business he ran with his partner, a partner who has run off with a younger man. David is looking for his dream, and he’s not about to let Vincent turn him away.
In “The Boss,” Steven is trying to figure out how he is going to face his new boss the morning after he did a drunken striptease for him. Not only is the new boss a hunk, he’s not available.
In “Jupiter,” Alex is sentenced to do community service at the school that he trashed, and is drawn to a guy who represents everything he despises. Alex is about to learn more than just retribution for his crimes.
Contains: m/m; anal play and intercourse, rimming; toys; mild bondage
I write not only for my own pleasure, but for the pleasure of my readers. I can’t remember a time in my life when I haven’t written and told stories. When I’m not writing, I’m dreaming about writing, doing something wild and adventurous, or trying to make the world a better and more open minded place to live in. I adore beautiful men, and I know I’m not alone in this! Eroticism between consenting adults, in all its many forms is the icing on the cake of life!
Another quick light and fun three stories. I think I like the first two stories the most, "The Planner" (which involves a strip dance that's good for my imagination :p) and "The Boss" (which sort of reminds me of the mishap in Sophie Kinsella's "Can You Keep a Secret). The last one, "Jupiter", is a bit disconnected in my mind.
After re-reading The Other Man I decided to buy something else by the author and decided on this collection of short stories.
The Planner opened the collection nicely. It was a satisfuing romance, though maybe went from zero to serious a bit quickly. Also, I didn't mind the bit with the stripper at the very beginning, but in an already short story it was kinda pointless.
The Boss similar to the first story, this had a sideplot that did really deserve more time than it got. But the setup was fun and both the MCs were nice.
Jupiter was the strongest story of the three, with intriguing back story and deeper characterazation. The romance was fresh and sweet.
Overall, a nice collection, if nothing amazing, but worth the reading.
Another great read by DJ Manly. in "The Planner" David is the most adorable man I think I've ever read about. He's like a little whirl wind that spins into a room and grabs you by the heart. in "The Boss" how many times have we drank to much and then had to serve a little humble pie the next day. Steven gets to enjoy his humble pie (Oh does he ever). And finally we get "Jupiter" all I can so is OMG please tell me more about Alex and Jacob. What an amazing pair of characters and an even more amazing love between them. It's innocent, sweet, hot and so alive. DJ Manly creates characters that you instantly connect with. Whether you fall in love with them or hate them, they leave a deep impression.
