Billie was my partner of 23 years, until her death in 2013. We published a 3rd edition with a new cover, layout, and comb binding to lay flat -- of which I still have many copies. I found this at a book sale in Connecticut. This is one of my favorite books. I love the radical politics, the lesbian concentration, and the variant spellings. I also love the information- I went from knowing ZERO about herbal medicine to cultivating my own herbs and brewing healing teas and infusions.

This was one of the most amazing and informative books I have ever read, despite its political agenda. Well written and well thought out, the herbal guides in this book are the best I have ever sen and I think it is a book that every woman should have on their shelves irregardless of religion, race or creed.

This is a fantastic book on real herbal healing. It is particularly good for learning techniques of making tinctures, salves, infusions, etc. Very solid.

The best (in my opinion!) and easiest to read book on how to make healing tinctures, decoctions, oils, and teas. I found it especially appealing that it is oriented towards lesbians.
