A hilarious story full of romance and hijinks, A Lady's Adventure follows along as our heroine attempts to disguise herself as a young man and spend a month at sea, free from societal obligations.
Lady Sophrina Barrows has always been more comfortable with swords and living at sea than dancing at balls and sipping tea, so when her parents are called away and her grandparents insist on trying to marry her off in the interim, she devises a plan to escape London for a month disguised as a cabin boy until her parents return.
Her plan goes awry from the very beginning and she’s thrust into a dangerous adventure with a handsome sea captain who is more enemy than ally. Can they learn to trust each other and work together to escape the pirates intent on taking control of their ship and what will happen if her true identity is revealed?

*A Lady's Adventure is the comical thirteenth novel in the Best Laid Plans series of historical romance. If you love romance with strong female leads, humor, and suspense, this book is for you. It's recommended for ages 17+ due to strong language and sexual situations.
This might be my favorite book in the series. It was full of adventure and spice. A strong independent woman trying to find herself before she became someone's Mrs.
Being the daughter of a succesful captain, she wishes to have an adventure in the sea. She dresses up as a boy and decides to get into one of their family's friend ship. But things don't go her way and she is now in their family's nemesis ship instead.
I loved the pirate theme and that she pretended to be a boy but most of all I enjoy that the author is clearly having fun when writing these. Every book has made me smile and laugh repeatedly. Such a fun read!
