I believe the title needs to be expanded to include "and Life" following the word Sport. Overall this book could and should be recommended reading to ALL high school and college students. Why? The imformation presented in this text has applications to life success. Each chapter deals with aspects of life but geared to the athlete. Where he talks about coaches substitute employers, talks about parents substitute friends or partners. He talks about handling failure, dealing with people, setting goals, leadership, health and adjustments to mental mindsets and attacking fear. It is a very quick and beneficial read. Would recommend that coaches and parents read first for a better doscussion/communications between you and the athlete. Would really be a good book for someone new into your program. Might also be one where you purchase several copies and have a few read at first and pass around the team(s).
