A wonderful collection of short stories from various authors. Some were prequels, some I wanted to read more, and some left me with feel good vibes. A lot of these authors were new to me.
Contains several paranormal characters. Overall the collection is well done.
I will most likely pick my favorites and follow up with the respective authors and read their other works.
this supersized collection features witches, and warlocks, and fae- oh my!
vampires and shifters and hmmmm
plenty of boss or sweet familiars, and romance or romantic complications ranging from sweet to omg heat - and goddess can they even get a chance to profess love or affection before someone dies!?!
you think "more please", and there it is!
loving and still reading on in all this loving, leaving and more
This anthology is packed with 36 short stories that start off sweet and tamed and ramp up to red-hot spicy! Some of my favourites: The Witch Next Door by Tasha Blythe is a sweet story of bravery and fated true love. Stella and Dax were sugar-coma-inducing-sweet! Goodie Halfmoon’s Magic Hoodie and Her Hollywood Hottie Mishap by Jenna Louise Skinner is is both kinda mad cap and surprisingly tender. It’s full on insta-love, but Harris Coville sounds like the perfect man to fall in love with. Donkey Business by D A Nelson is a funny little story that combines several awkward meet-cutes between Verity Ash and the new vet Finn, all orchestrated by one delightfully devious talking donkey named Harry. Such a fun read! Hexually Vexed by Emma Dee brings the heat when witch Lena goes on an awful date with Gilbert, only to later end up in Rusty and Gilbert’s (!) “arms”. This story was quirky and quick, fun and steamy - just perfect! In Witch on Call by M K Mancos, Mara and Wells start off antagonistic, only to uncover secrets and common ground. A slimy fun little story! Split Milk and Spiders by Monica Schultz is a funny little story where Vincent gets turned into a spider - which he greatly fears - and his long time ex Beth has to turn him back. A cute little second chance romance. Waking the Witch by Katie Baldwin features new witch Joao and emerging witch Aisling in this throw-back 90s romance. I liked Joao and Aisling, but I loved the references to Nirvana and grunge! Graduation Day by Katherine Isaac gets right into the action! Christina has just graduated - she’s not ready for one, let alone shifter two fated mates! Whoo-wee, this one is STEAMY! I can’t wait to see where this story goes. Stained Fate by Salem Cross is both steamy- hot and bittersweet. Esmeralda the witch and Dmitri and the vampire are secret lovers on opposites sides of a race divide and fate. One hot farewell hooplah later, there’s plenty left unresolved - hopefully they get a follow up book! So many witches! What a great anthology.
I am always so interested in anthologies. I love that you can read so many books in such a short amount of time. It allows you to get a feel for new authors and find new ones you may not have come across otherwise. I love being able to take in these usually short stories and then read more by the authors if I am so inclined to. Paranormal romance is not my usual category to read, so if you can say the same, I highly recommend this anthology. I think you will be pleasantly surprised and find something, maybe even multiple somethings, you will enjoy.
My favorite story was A Spell of Trouble by TL Hamilton. What a wild ride! The story was spicy and the character was relatable not because she is a witch of course, but because she is imperfect. And Maverick, her familiar, I love him!! I want my own Maverick!!! I can't wait to continue reading Willa's story in the next book!
This review is specifically for A Spell of Trouble by TL Hamilton.
This is a short, fun story, setting up a new series.
Willa is a witch with a dream. A dream lover, that is, and she's determined to find him. Unfortunately her spells and potions don't always work.
Although it's a short, only three chapters, you get a good sense of who Willa is and also Maverick, her snarky familiar. It sets a lot of groundwork up, and I can't wait to see where this goes when it turns into a full book.
And I can't wait to devour the rest of the anthology on a road trip next week!
Hexes and Ohs: A Witch Paranormal Romance Collection
Hexes and Ohs: A Witch Paranormal Romance Collection for Charity is part of the Romance Café Collection series. It contains over 35 stories, each by a different author, with all having a Halloween/Witch/Hexes/Spells theme of some sort. Most of the authors I have never read before so I have dipped my toe into this collection and what I have read so far has been entertaining. I would say that this is a great addition to anyone's library, and a great cause to donate the proceeds to also.
Stained Fate by Salem Cross is part of the Hexes and Ohs Anthology.
This was a fast and short read and it will leave you curious and wanting more. Just from the brief look into Esmeralda’s and Dimitri’s lives you can tell they have chemistry. However, with that brief look you will be left curious.
Salem, you continue to amaze me with your writing and you always solidify why you will be an instant buy author for me!
Salem Cross has dropped by this anthology to give readers a little peek at Esme’s unique ability to create works of art representing someone’s fate. It also give a bit more than a peek at the steamy forbidden hookup with a hot as sin vampire.
Definitely worth picking up this anthology as I am sure the remainder of the stories will be captivating also!!
Stained Fate is part of a collection of stories from the Hexes and Ohs Anthology. This super story is a super fast and spicy read that leaves you wanting more! Esmeralda is a fate witch, Dimitri is a vampire their love is forbidden. When fate comes knocking on Esmeralda door her only solution is to run but Dimitri isn’t ready to let go. This was such a great read that captured my attention I eagerly wait for more of their story!
Lots of witchy stories with varying levels of heat, some are sweet while other have a little spice. I enjoyed all the stories and now have some new authors to follow. I like that they're short making them perfect for a quick break, though I had a tough time putting the book down wanting to read story after story. This was a wonderful collection.

Rating : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️,5 Spice : 🌶
This is a quick read that will leave you wanting for more.
We got a short snippet of Esmeralda’s life and her relationship with Dimitri. With the way the novella ends I’m sooo curious and hoping that Salem will continue this story !!
Even in short stories Salem gives her all to bring us amazing stories !
Awakening Her Powers by K. R. Hall This story is going to grab you and keep you reading till you are finished. It moves along at a speed that makes for an enjoyable read as well as an easy read. The characters are amazing and no matter what happens you want to be there for them and you cannot help but love them. This story has to be read, there is no doubt about it.
Very fun and cute stories. I especially enjoyed Mission: Moon Magic by R. L. Merrill. Tuck has info Sally desperately needs. A very charming Wizard of Oz retelling in Witch Way to Oz by Annee Jones finds Ruby trying to find love in the big city, maybe. Fanatics actions cause a community to rally after disaster befalls Mara in Tenacity by J. E. Feldman.
This review is for A Spell of Troubly by TL Hamilton. This was a fun beginning to Willa's story. She is not the most proficient witch around, but she has some skills. She manages to cast a spell to summon her shadow lover. It appears to have worked but not without some issues. I can't wait to find out what happens next.
I love anthologies and this themed one was a riot to read. Each is a different story that entertained me and made me laugh and groan at the trouble or issues each main character found or ended up in. While I found some to be more entertaining then others each one was fun to read. And since magic was involved enjoyed guessing what might happen next.
Stained Fate’s by Salem Cross. Hexes and Ohs (and “More, please.” and “Do that again.”) abound in this steamy-not scary collection of stories from USA Today best-selling and award-winning romance authors curated by The New Romance Café, with ALL proceeds going to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. I really enjoyed this book. Read in one sitting. I loved Dimitri and Esmeralda. 5*.
I absolutely loved this collection! I’ve found some more great authors by reading these short stories. There were plenty of laughs & a little spice. I was definitely sold after the story with the goose, and then the one with the donkey(I have a major love for animals). This collection is perfect if you love the paranormal, comedy, & spice.- Elizabeth
What a fun introduction to a lot of different authors. Perfect for the season. And if there are authors here that you know, maybe you got a morsel of a new story! I reviewed TL Hamilton’s A Spell of Trouble… a quick bite that left me wanting more! I loved it. Perfect for the season, and small enough that I can read at the bus stop, or while waiting in line.
This review is for : The Awakening by Karen Hall. A well written short story about a witch, Briana , who's magic never came in. Karen writes of bullies, angst, love, searching for a way to recover magic, and more. A perfect story for this time of year. And it would be fun to see it in a longer version- there's so much more that could be explored.
I read this for TL. I did read a few others plan on eventually reading the rest. I enjoy the diversity in seeing what the different authors come up with that are similar yet different. The theme is basically the same throughout all the books but the storylines are so different. Each book is a quick read and very interesting. Happy to support a good cause.
This short is short and steamy and leaves you wanting for more! I love Salem's writing style and would love to someday read the full story behind Esme and Dimitri!
These amazing authors have come together to give us a wonderful selection of stories for this collection. Each story grabs our attention with witches, paranormal beings and magic.
I received a free copy of this book via Sofia's Cowboy Romance Lovers and am voluntarily leaving a review.
K.R. Hall has a wonderful way with her words that keep her readers fully engaged in any story she writes. I really enjoyed this one as part of this anthology. It may be a short story but it packs a punch you won't soon forget.
What a delicious little prequel novella! I really want to know more about Esme and Dimitry. The novella didn't say much but definitely enough to leave me wanting more of the story!
A really quick read that was a prequel novella. Esmeralda and Dimitri, a Fate Witch and a vampire, were intriguing characters. A spicy read which left me wanting more.
This review is for Stained Fate by Salem Cross only. This quick read left me wanting more instantly. Esmeralda is a witch and Dimitri a vampire rules about them keep them apart or so you think.
Hexes and Ohs is an anthology of very short stories. Each story can be enjoyed quickly. The stories are spicy and satisfying. They are a great tease of the various authors' works.
Abostly loved this boxset. Highly recommend it. Couldn't put it down at all. 5 star anthology. Will come back a later day to break down my review but for now I abostly recommend this book.
