Blurt Beans: A Social Emotional, Rhyming, Early Reader Kid's Book to Help With Talking Out of Turn

Rate this book
Teaches children how to manage their blurting.

It's hard not to blurt!

Blurt Beans takes an empathetic approach to the habit of talking out of turn and teaches children a witty technique to help them manage their thoughts and words. Told from childrens' perspective, this story provides parents, teachers, and counselors with an entertaining way to teach children the value of respecting others by listening and waiting for their turn to speak.

A blurt happens when you talk,
Without getting permission to speak.
It’s a silly word for when you can’t help it,
But out your words sneak!

Teaching Kids to Raise Their Hands

A great book on teaching children to be respectful and raise their hands before they speak. I picked this book to fill a prompt in the 52 Book Club Challenge 2025.
