For more than two decades, Banshee has been riddled with guilt because his little sister was abducted right in front of him.
It doesn’t matter to him that he was also a child.
It’s irrelevant that the kidnapper knocked him out before he grabbed Ryleigh.
For him, the bottom line was his job, his responsibility, was watching her and the other club kids while the ol’ ladies prepared food for a family day, and the club brothers had Church.
When his sister was initially found, she was going by the name the people who took her used. No one suspected she was actually a club princess, until one of the brothers, RiffRaff, said she looked like Lorelei, his deceased mother. Brick, their current president, took matters into his own hands and several weeks later, DNA confirmed she was his sister and he’s spent countless hours with her, watching old home movies so they can heal from the trauma of their past. She’s made it clear she bears no resentment toward him; she’s loving, sweet, and kind despite the hell she endured. Still, his guilt haunts him.
While he puts on a brave face, his nights are fraught with nightmares of that day and the subsequent months that followed which eventually ended in him being an orphan. When Wrecker, a club brother from the Cedar Creek, Texas chapter calls and practically demands he come for a visit, he does, desperate to root everything out so he can get back on track.
He never expects that while he’s heading home to Roanoke, Virginia via their chapter in Dallas, Texas, he would meet the woman who’s going to become everything to him.
The only issue is, she doesn’t trust anyone, especially those of the male persuasion.
After Rory escapes from her Hell thanks to some awesome pre-planning her grampy did, she decides to leave her home behind and take her cat, Sassy, on the road in the RV she and her grandfather rebuilt. When it breaks down leaving her stranded near Dallas and her past attempts to catch up to her, she’s reluctantly forced to accept the help of a tall, tattooed biker.
She doesn’t expect to feel anything; her past has numbed her completely and she figures she's too damaged to bring much to the table, especially with a man like him who is every woman’s dream. But Banshee has found his forever in her, and he’s determined he won’t fail to save someone who he cares about ever again.

Lover of words. Author of "perfectly imperfect romance". Since starting this journey in August 2016, I've published eight books, two children's books, and have been part of two different coloring books. In short, I'm fulfilling a lifelong dream and would love to have you join me!
I've been waiting for Banshee's story, and it didn't disappoint. Ever since his little sister was taken when he was a boy and he couldn't save her, he's been looking to atone for his mistake. What he doesn't expect is to find a woman who needs help on the side of the road who quickly snatches his heart. This chapter has been amazing since the first book. Love Tallman's stories. She has a way with words and never fails to deliver an awesome tale. Can't wait for the next one!
This one started out rough, Rory was going through some things. I was glad that she was able to get away and had people that helped her out when they could. Then fate steps in and seemingly saves her just in time, though she didn't know it as it happened. To her, bikers stopped to help when she needed help. It was here her life changed for the better as she meet Banshee and the two of them realized they were much more for each other. I liked how they talked about the instant connection and worked out any issues they had. It sucked when the bad that Rory was running from found her, but this POS got what they deserved. I do find it interesting the connection that Rory found once they were home and how funny was it when she went to ask everyone about it. It makes things extra interesting for the next book.
Love!! This story starts out with a glimpse of Banshee & Brick & Ryleigh as kids. I love seeing their bond from back then (& that the snippets of the past are perfectly sized).
Rory is such a fun person! Like, she loves her cat, Sassy, & talks to her, & I highly enjoy that. Her DB of a boyfriend hurts them, & Rory wastes NO time in getting away. And she has an RV!! So cool!
The suspense is awesome, the instant interest & fast falling are lovely, and the steamy time is 🔥 but not overdone. Also enjoy the way characters from other chapters are woven in, and the trust & brotherhood they share. It was great to see a bit of Brick & Ryleigh to catch up, as well.
Omg I'm claiming Ban! My heart broke for him because of the guilt he still carries with him after all these years over not being able to help his sister. Thankfully he has a wonderful group of brothers who willingly help him see what truly happened that day and that even at such a young age he fought as hard as he could. Rory is a little spitfire who crosses him path and the sparks fly. Leaving a bad relationship she's not sure if she ready for what Ban has to offer, but she goes for it. These two are perfect for one another as they enjoy the same simple things in life. Their story is funny, captivating, drama filled and kept me turning the page and I can't wait for more as more truths are revealed.
OMG!!!! Banshee has been through hell not knowing what happened in the past when his sis was stolen when they were kids. When him and 2 others went 2 TX 2 help Dragon out with a major issue he was wondering if he would ever have what his parents had. He was going 2 help a woman on the side of the road but he was surprised by her and found her intriguing. Could she b his possible future? Read and find out asap!! It was awesome how she found alot of Drs that took over what her gramps did 4 her by watching over her. I sooooo loved when his sis can finally deliver the baby not knowing if its a girl or a boy. I couldn't put it down. I was eager 2 find out about his past that can help him.
Darlene is spot on in this Insta love story. I have been waiting for Banshee's story since book one of the series. He's a very beloved character in my mind. Rory is running from a volatile situation and breaks down in her motor home on the side of the road. She is stranded with her cat, Sassy. And it's the Royal Bastards to the rescue. This book has delectable steam and some angst. One thing that Darlene does that I really like is include characters from the previous books of the series.
A new to me author and I am loving her Chapter of the Royal Bastards MC Banshee breaks my heart! If you havent read this series so far, I won't give anything away. But guilt is weighing him down. Whilst out on club business he comes across Rory who has broken down at the side of the road. Their connection is beautiful, however danger lurks. And the twists blew my mind!! Fantastic read!!
The past keeps me awake at night because I just can't let go. I guess that still place all the blame on myself for what happened to my sister. But there was nothing I could do. Rory had a simple please t life with her grandparents until they were both gone. Recovery g from from her present was all she wanted to do. The author has given us an awesome story of love , hate and deception. Can Rory and Ban she's survive the past to make the present work........
Banshee has lived with guilt almost his entire life over his sister being taken. Nobody needs to punish him because he punishes himself enough. He is asked to go help a brother chapter in Texas and runs into a little sprite of a woman Rory. Rory is feeling stupid for falling for a guy who turns out to be somebody she did not expect. She is able to get away from him and that is how she meets Banshee.
Banshee and Rory meet at the side of a road after her RV dies. Upon seeing her he knows she's special. She shares her story as to why she's traveling. She's trying to get away from her abusive ex. Meanwhile, Banshee is visiting another chapter of the RBMC.
Banshee knows he's found his one and he now has to convince her that they're meant to be.
There's drama, action and some twists I didn't coming!
So thus series continues to disappoint. In my opi ion, the author depends too much on other well developed characters to support the main characters. In thus case Ban was in bed and claiming his ole kady in less than 24 hours. They pretend to be bikers but tge itger clubs seem to take care of the biker bad. Again as with the kast, the bad guy beats up the girl and then dies. Also, still need a copy editor.
Banshee is still wrecked with guilt over not being able to save his sister years ago. The author gives so many details of each character their feelings, emotions it's like you are there in the pages part of the story. Rory is on the run from her ex then she meets Branshee. Their love story is fast and perfect but unknown to them the past are connected in a way. Great story
I couldn’t put this book down. This MC just gets better and better. This series has been my first foray into the Royal Bastards MC and it looks like I need to catch up - I have a lot of books to read! I just love that instant connection that Banshee and Rory had. Everything turned out as it’s meant to be - despite the long, hard road they had to take to get there. Loved it!
Banshee’s Lament: Royal bastards MC ( Royal bastards MC, Roanoke, VA book 3)
Rory and Banshee has a complicated and compelling relationship. Rory had a very abusive ex boyfriend. She meets Banshee when her RV breaks down . I enjoyed reading about the other Royal Bastards MC character’s involvement in this book.
Ok read. A bit light on the MC and more on the relationship between Banshee and Rory. Focused on their lives before they meet. Usually I pass on books like this because let’s face it ….I’m obsessed anything MC but I liked it. The writing was on point and it kept my interest. Loved seeing some old favorite faces as well.
Enjoyed this book very much. This is Banshee's and Rory's story. They are cute together but it was a bit of love at first sight especially for Ban.
There's a little bit of paranormal in this.... maybe not the Devil's ride a couple of other animals. Now have to wait until Christmas for the next book.....
Ms Darlene has been one of my favorites for some years now!😍 I started out reading Stories from this author and her writing partner Ms Liberty! I've been hooked ever since on them collectively and individually! they are both talented writers and I always look forward to more from them😘
Although not as dark as I would normally read I really enjoyed this episode of RBMC. We get some more of Banshee's back story as he continues to struggle with his guilt. Rory is escaping a toxic relationship and I loved her life in the RV with her cat. The tale is entertaining and I enjoyed the crossovers with other chapters of tye MC.
Wow!!!! Just….Wow!!!! I knew Banshee’s book was going to be awesome but this blew away my expectations. I LOVE Rory for him. She is the absolute perfect partner for our hero. Banshee has a heart of gold and the way he loves Rory - be still my heart. TONS of mystery, intrigue and even more questions arise in this fast paced book. LOVED it!!!!
Banshee is one alpha male! Rory is a perfect match for Banshee. She is strong, smart and not a victim. She may get beaten down, but she keeps her wits and grows stronger. The continuing story line is intriguing. Bringing in the other Chapters keeps the flow of this great MC and shows the family unit of all Chapters. I loved Banshee! 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
Darlene Tall man's cast of characters not only includes, Banshee and Rory, but there are many crossovers with other Royal Bastards authors and their characters. This makes for a very enjoyable read, and provides extra credence that all Royal Bastards are brothers. This was a very enjoyable read.
I love the book but I hate that there is yet another mystery to unravel. It seems Banshee can't catch a break, there is always something ominous hanging around. Now he meets his forever and she is more connected to the drama in his life than he could imagine. I can't wait to see what happens next.
Trigger abuse, drugs Good deal of spice and dark knight save the woman. Banshee fighting with his nightmare go see Wreaker snd help them with their cult issue. He goes through Dallas Texas to stop to see his brothers when he come across a broken down rv. Inside is Rorey who running from her ex who they later finds out he connects to Banshee club.
I had to finish this, it’s so good. Of course you have a bit of magic in it. Ban met his love who broke down along the highway, Rory, by the way was on the run from her ex. I highly recommend this whole series and more.
Darlene Tallman is one of the authors I read no matter what the story is, I know I’m going to like it. I stayed up way too late, because I couldn’t put it down and oh my was it worth it. And you won’t believe the twist at the end! Read it, you’ll love it.
This is the third book in the series and I loved it. It is Banshee and Rory’s story. Each book is a stand alone but interconnected by the characters. It is a light MC but an enjoyable read.
A good addition to this series of books. Good characters and plot along with some good twists and turns plus suspense. I wish it had been a bit longer after the main characters got together. Looking forward to the next book.
I really enjoyed this story and the well developed charismatic characters. I want to read everything concerning all the various MC chapters mentioned. HEA, no cheating, no romance cliffhanger. There is an epilogue teaser for the next book. Looking forward to reading it.
