A crooked crown which belonged to a prince. A prince who very well might become king someday. But he wasn’t my prince. Or wasn’t supposed to be. Yet now he was.

Jorah Demir has done the unthinkable, she has switched Assemblages. During an attempt to flee, Prince Krewan saved her from being apprehended by the king’s guards. But there is a catch. The king believes her relationship with Prince Krewan to be real. Now they must sell their ruse like Jorah’s life depends upon it. Because it does—she is surrounded by Enchanted at every turn.

With the king’s guards appearing at all hours of the day, Jorah and Krew are forced to uphold the ruse even behind closed doors. And when Jorah’s blood causes a bloom in the dead forest, it sends them chasing down answers together.

As the Assemblages continue and the lines between their budding friendship and their ruse blur, Jorah will have to make a tough decision. Can she leave the castle knowing the danger the princes must face? And with her newfound ability to heal the forest, will she ever be safe from the king again?

Okay Jorah and Krew, I SEE YOU 😉 I would give this a 4.5 strictly because I still have lots of unanswered questions that I hope will be answered in the next book. I loved this book though and how magic played much more of a role in it. I was happy to see that Kier and Jorah also are on good terms now, I hope they all become the best of friends!

I also had to laugh that the author states at least 4 times in the beginning of the book that Owen and Jorah are like brother and sister. Like alright Tricia, thanks for letting us down easy that Owen is absolutely not an option. But I really do love Krew. Little soul bonded lovers 🥰

The main thing that bugged me was how the whole Easton situation was handled. Just didn’t sit well with me but that was my only complaint.

Let’s go take down the king!!!!???

For a second book in a series, this one is surprisingly as good as the first.

For my clean readers: language-but no f-bomb. Romance-kissing and lots of sexual connotations, but no details. Violence-a lot of fighting, torture, and murder. LGBTQ friendly.

A lovely romantic read, 4.5 stars.

Coming on the heels of Enchanted Kingdom, it was lovely to watch the natural and seamless romance develop between heroine and her Prince. Various events happened, great side characters were developed further and the book ended strong. I’ll be eager to read the next book!
The book was quite clean with the minorest of innuendo and minor violence. Safe for teens and up.

Wow. Just wow. I picked this up on a whim from KU and man… I was off work for the holiday and I had plans. Plans to clean, put away decorations, etc. but what have I done for the past 36 hours? Tear through these two books like my life depended on it. Worst part? I thought it was a two book series. Rookie mistake 😂 now I’m in a full fledge book hangover and left on a cliffhanger. But it was worth it and I cannot wait to get my hands on book 3! If you liked The Selection, you will LOVE this one. I have to admit I’m a sucker for this plot, so I love when I find one that is so well written!

Slow. Had to skim a lot. I feel there is no need to read on as author resolved the part of the plot that interested me.

Eye problems?

Okay - this book, and this series, is great! It's a fun, easy read. The main characters are memorable, as in - not forgetting who they are over the approx 1200 pages of this series.
I would not put this series on par with "The Hundreth Queen" (another "select a queen") series or The Wrath & the Dawn (or several other series that I'm kind of blanking on, because I can't write a review on my Kindle and also look at my Kindle library at the same time - serious 1st world problems).
The character development and the world building is a bit lacking, not to mention that this series is supposed to be centered around picking a new queen, yet there is nearly nothing about that process or the other girls ("consorts") through... basically this entire book.
Anyways, regardless - this series has still be a fun & exciting read. The plot has moved along and there haven't been any parts of the book that have felt dull.
Last thing -
The eye thing - OMG. Stop using the word, "squint/squinted/squinting." For the love of a thesaurus! Do your characters all have serious eye allergies? The word "squint" was used 46 - FORTY-SIX - times in this book alone to describe how the characters look at each other.
My girl! Let's try - Glare. Glance. Furrowed brows. Widen their eyes (as in, she widened her eyes in surprise when she looked at ____). Leer. Raised a brow. Rolled their eyes. Stare. Glower.
Just a suggestion or two!

Just a Drop!

Wow! I can't believe how every book just gets better and better. I am blowing through these books! It's so addicting I can't get out of it. This is the second book in The Enchanted Kingdom Series and let me just say...GRAB your copy now. It is an absolute must read!

Jorah finds herself switching Assemblages after trying to run away from the castle. As a ruse to not end up in jail or worse Jorah and Prince Krewan enter into a 'fake' relationship. To prevent the king from figuring out about their plan they are forced to play the part. As they play their roles they find their feelings growing deeper for one another. While trying to also plan how to dethrone the king Jorah finds hidden messages inside Krewans mother's journals. They may be the key to getting rid of him. Nerede disloyals are ramping up and attacking making the king retaliate in return. Now I can't spoil the ending but it definitely has me already grabbing the third.

Enchanted Heir (The Enchanted Kingdom series Book 2)

If you've never read Tricia Wentworth before, or if you've read everything she's written, this book is going to pull you in, wrap you up and never... Ever... let you go. A mostly clean writer who always manages to epitomize both the best and worst of being human, Tricia's stories and characters will become your best friend or your worst enemy.

If you haven't read book one, you should do that first. This is definitely not a stand-alone story.

Jorah is an amazingly strong individual whose down to Earth humanity is what is truly magical about this realm.

And, after you've read it for the third time, or the fourth😆 (I resemble that remark), go over to The Culling and the following Legacy series... Meet Regan and .... Shhh!!! In the three book "parent" series, and their kids in the four book "Legacy" series.

In my opinion this book is far better than the first one! I finally feel like the plot became uniquely its own instead of just the Selection series but with magic. The relationships in this book were more believable but I still feel like there could have been more relational development especially since the first book felt like it had none. Another slight issue I had with this book was the time jumps that occurred every other scene. A big reveal or event would occur and rather than getting to hear them discuss it or figure out a solution, the next chapter would be weeks later. My biggest critique however is Jorah herself - please pull yourself together girl and stop crying.

Drawn out

I did like that the romance was not lust disguised as love like in many other books, but a little bit more chemistry for the MCs wouldn't have gone astray. The angst all got sorted so it became boring from a character growth perspective, and I doubt I'll bother with the resolution. I got impatient and skimmed a lot as there were endless little plot details that took forever (and endless FMC tears) to come out, juxtaposed with a few very obvious solutions to the king problem that all these masterminds were apparently unable to brainstorm?

Excitingly Awesome Story You Can't Put Down

I love, love this story. It has everything, Princes, evil king, love, snarky heroine, laugh worthy banter and cry worthy scenes. This is a "must" read continuance of the equally wonderful first book. Out of 5 stars 🌟 it should be a "10" ❤️

Can't wait until Spring

I am so excited that this series is continuing. I'm so invested in it. Jorah is such an awesome female character (and no more maturity issues) along with everyone else. The author has a way of making you feel part of the adventure. The love story is not loud and pushy but rather genuine and soft. Big fan of this author!

I absolutely loved this book! Best in the series so far. Tricia’s writing is beautiful and captivating. She is able to paint a picture and bring so much emotion and drama to the story that it is unreal!

***Also, just a side note, her dedications at the end are just on a whole other level. I love how she thanks God and brings honour to Jesus.

Better than the first book!

This book was better than the first book. She was a bit less whiny and the love part was cuter and made more sense to me. I definitely like Krews character better than Kiers so maybe that's why I like this better.

I will say that her falling out of love happened quite quickly but that may just be because I cannot relate.

so good!

I love all of Tricia’s books but this one really brought it together for me! The way their love grew and was truly selfless was beautiful! Can’t wait to see the rest of the story!

It’s always so refreshing to find an author who knows how to pull you into a story. I’ve been captivated by Tricia since I found the Culling. Beautiful piece of work and I am a fan for life. Can’t wait for the next book!

Ugh…
Sometimes the story lags a bit, but I’m enjoying this plot.

Not sure how the end will go though…

But Prince Darkness is sometimes quite dreamy

love this series!

I love this series! This book gets three stars because there’s a lot of random conversations or repetition that I didn’t feel like was necessary to the story but overall loved how it was all tied together in the ending and excited to read book 3!

The front part of this was enjoyable. The second half was not. The ending nah. I’ve started in on the third and just not enjoying it. Not sure I’ll finish it. I feel like this should have been a duology.
AND THE BLASTED PET NAMES! I can’t handle it.

3.5⭐️ This one took me a little longer to get through. Some parts dragged, and I felt like Jorah and Krew's relationship stopped evolving and being interesting about halfway through. Overall, the story is still decent. Jorah isn't as annoying as she was in the first, so that's good too.

I loved this book because the MC lost all of her personality to be the object of other people's desires and her personality was a projection of their thoughts of her and was much more tolerable!!!
