A nice start with an explanation of Groundhog Day and an examination of how shadow length changes over the course of the day, but with no real ending on hand they pull the let's-have-a-party cop-out.
In the book Pooh's groundhog doesn't see his shadow, so they get an early spring. But IRL, Punxsutawney Phil declares six more weeks of winter today.
