Stephen Cosgrove is best known for the long-running Serendipity series, but he wrote other series for kids, such as the Bunny series of board books for really little kids, or beginning English readers. The rather ominous title is actually just Bunny about to visit his Gramma, who "always has gum." This makes you wonder if Bunny is denied gum at home. Is Gramma some kind of gum dealer?

There's not much going on in terms of story, but the illustrations are the star of the show. The entire series was done by Charles Reasoner (any relation to Harry?) His bunnies are highly unusual in that they're not cute. In fact, they're kinda creepy. Sleep tight, kids.

Anyway, Bunny has a teddy bear. This makes you wonder what bears are like in the alternate universe where rabbits evolved into rabbit people with houses, cars with seat belts, and teddy bears. Did they have a homicidal President with an inferiority complex who loved to shout, "Bully!" (Or perhaps it was, "Bunny!") And loved to shoot animals. Did he refuse to shoot a bear tied up for him?

This just brings a whole new level of weird to the series.
