Interesting look at the author of one of my favorite books. This is a quick read. I recommend it as a good introduction to Montgomery’s life. Primary sources are cited that the reader can further investigate.

A fascinating and in-depth glimpse into one of Canada's finest authors! She continues to be regarded as one of the most successful writers of all time, and personally, she is one of my favorites! L.M. Montgomery lived a struggled life, but despite all her hardships, she truly became a literary heroine, just as her beloved characters did. "Anne of Green Gables" was written by L.M. Montgomery and is most widely read and cherished all around the world today. It is a timeless tale of an orphan girl who is adopted by an elderly couple and is transformed from a girl who never belonged anywhere to one with a loving home and family. Lucy Maud Montgomery had a rare quality about her because she uniquely triumphed over society's rules against women becoming authors and managed to become quite wealthy and well-known for her tremendous efforts in her chosen profession. There will never be another "Maud," a name she preferred over Lucy, in my lifetime. She is a true "kindred spirit," and the world will always remember her and her novels for generations to come!
