"won This on First Reads!"

This book was a fun read. Delilah is very likable along with Her best friend Jenner, a surfer and loves sweets. One of the funnest parts is the Relationship with Delilah and her step-dad.

Delilah loves reporting the news and dreams about winning the prestigious Junior Globe Journalist award. However, as seventh grade starts, Delilah faces competition for the school's top reporting gig.

Delilah will do almost anything to win back her spot as the school's top reporter. She might even team up with the Debutantes, a clique she wrote about for the paper last year. The Debs aren't too sure about Ava either, and they might be able to help Delilah scoop her.

It's an all-out war, not just for the paper, but also for the cute editor's attention. Will Delilah prove herself worthy of the front page?

The story features a face-off that gets out of control, crazy with fun and mayhem. Delilah firmly believes in using any means necessary to uncover a good story - including things a little bit shady. Her amusing adventures to make the front page land her in more scrapes than ever. I also enjoyed her best friend, the surfer who plays with the boys for more competition.

All in all, a cute tween read.

I think that the book was really great because,it shows you that even if you want something perhaps it's not worth to fight for, and that some people don't seem like they really are, and could be the love of your life! I really like how the story is realistic by not having there to be a prince charming who saves the day,and the love birds rode off into the sunset, but instead friends have each other's backs, helping with each other's problems, and ya there is a "prince charming" but he is NOT perfect and doesn't have a blinding white smile.

I really enjoyed this book. It was a fun and easy read. I've actually read it five times already because I love it so much. It had so many moments that made me fangirl a lot. My favorite aspect was the romance. It played out how I predicted it would, and I loved that. Delilah, the protagonist, got into some sticky situations for the sake of the newspaper. Her position as lead journalist was threatened when Ava arrived. Not only that but also her crush. I ended up giving this a 4.5 out of 5 stars. On my scale, it'd be a 9/10.

Del. She's crazy in a good way. But TBH. I actually started crying when Del was caught up in all of the prank stuff and Jenner supposedly breaking her arm. And then the stuff with Marcus and the Ben. Then there was AVA. She horrifying. Ava, that is.
The ending of this book was really chaotic and it felt like it was all framed together, I even had to go back and re read it. But over all this book was super good and plot was perfect. But at first I tough that this was going to be a total chick-lit but, in the end it wasn't!

book 17 for 2010. A fantastic realistic fiction. Jo Whittemore adds a perfect amount of humor and intrigue, and I really found myself caring about the characters. I loved how the romantic interest turned out. Totally recommended for girls 4th grade and up.

I really liked this book. I also kinda liked how Marcus and Delilah started liking each other and stuff. I really hated Ava though and Ben was okay. I just always thought that in the end Ben and Delilah would be together since I thought Ben secretly liked Delilah a lot.

This book was so-so but at least it didn't bore me to death. So anywasy, this book is about a girl named Delilah, the Little Debbies and some other "interesting" charcters. Oh! There's also a french exchange stundent who Delilah can't stand....because they both like Ben (newspaper boy)

I didn't absolutely love it, I just enjoyed reading it, a great way to pass time if you've got any. A classic tale of girls fighting over guys and friendship prevailing but with a different twist and AMUSING characters!

The beginning and middle were really good, but the ending was really unsatisfactory and I felt that the main character didn't learn from her mistakes in the end.

Cute. Pretty 'nickelodean', but would probably be just right for any 10-12 year old.
