An informative and thorough account of the air conflict during the Middle East War of 1948-1949, tracing the region's civil and military aviation back to the early days of the 20th century and including its involvement in both World Wars.
The amount of time it took me to finish this does not reflect the quality of the book. Simply put, life got in the way.
That being said this book is excellent about the aerial side of a war that is not very often covered. Like any Grubstreet published book, it is researched superbly, plenty of first hand accounts, and the photos are plentiful and rare. It deviates from their other titles slightly in that it is not in diary form with daily entries but woven together with a more cohesive story. All in all 100% recommended.
