Three Times a Charm
Author Iris Bolling has quickly made a fan of me with her Heart series. I fell in love with her writing style and love the fact that each book takes on a new main character yet still connecting the previous books. In this one Ms. Cynthia Thornton takes the lead and is as sassy as ever.
Cynthia Thornton is ½ of the dual TNT catering service. While she is the last of her click that is still not married she is still going strong. Cynthia has decided to stop being a man eater and wait for Mr. Right and not just Mr. Right Now. She’s still friends with her ex lover Governor Gavin and after an impromptu meeting he asks her to keep something for him(in case something happens to him) and from there her life is sent into a tail spin. Thus the drama is kicked up a couple of notches as the whole gang is back.
Brian former FBI agent gets wind of the plot to eliminate Cynthia and he assigns her security as she is like a little sister to him. Sam Lassiter is assign her personally body guard. Mean, lean dark and handsome. Sam was by far my favorite in this book. There is a lot to love about Sam and that won’t go unnoticed by Cynthia either, only she has committed to marry Prince LeVere’. Prince LeVere’ seems to have everything any woman can want - the looks, the power and the money to boot. With all her dreams about to come true will it be enough for her?
In this installment the friends are still going tough and everyone’s marriage is still intact and going strong. All the main characters and supporting characters from the two previous books are back and we keep up with them. With Cynthia having the lead we meet her over bearing mother, her superstar brother Blake both added a nice element to the story. I truly cannot wait to see what Ms. Bolling has in store for us readers next as ALL her books have keep me up at night getting to the end cause I just had to see what was going to happen next. Once again I was truly interested in the political under tone that takes place in ALL three books. EXCELLENT read I recommend all three of this Heart series you will not be disappointed.

Look Into My Heart is the third novel in the Heart Series by Author Iris Bolling. The novel picks up immediately where The Heart of Him left off, with Cynthia recovering from her sudden 'fall' before Prince LaVere Ashro of Emure. All she wants is love...but someone wants her dead. She has it all as a wealthy socialite but what her loyal friends, Roz, Tracy and Ashley have is far more valuable: a family. After having a brief affair with the Governor, Gavin Roberts (who marries Carolyn Roth), she places herself on lockdown until the right man arrives.
Little did she know what she'd have to endure to make that happen!
Although Cynthia's whirlwind relationship with Prince LaVere is making world news, it's not rubbing everyone the right way. From her closest male confidant, Brian to the unknown Samuel Lassiter, when her life is placed on the line, it becomes personal for everyone involved, even Attorney General JD Harrison.
Bolling does not waste time hitting the reader with the facts and taking them down pieces of memory lane. She places the reader right in the heart of the situation, as if they could watch it all in disguise. Make no mistake, many things are revealed in this third installment, as Cynthia has to endure test after test against the odds that seemingly throw themselves in her life.
Overall, Bolling's talent and writing experience continues to soar in the Heart Series. It is a pleasure to be so enthralled in such a world of political realm and not feel dastardly afterward. Kudos to Iris Bolling for elevating the literary industry!

I actually had to sleep and allow this one to simmer, before I could leave a review. I absolutely loved Samuel! I thought James Brooks was the man, however for me Samuel out shines all the men. My favorite line was "Don't you know I kill people". He and Cynthia were so good together. It was said that he was the only man who could tame Cynthia....well I'm not so sure he tamed her, but he definitely made her better. I love the way all of the characters from previous books are intertwined into each story, which makes it feel more like a mini-series on television, than a book series. This is a Must Read too!!

Another HIT...the full cast is AMAZING...the storyline flows across the pages...the mystery/suspense and of course the romance is simply CAPTIVATING...the attraction and passion between Cynthia and Samuel is INTENSE...I am so looking forward to reading the next book...and already EAGERLY anticipating book 5...a definite MUST read...KUDOS, Ms. Bolling on crafting such an ENTERTAINING and unforgettable series!

Keeps Getting Better
I love The Heart Series. Spoiler Alert: I have been waiting for somebody to beat the crap out or Carolyn. Kudos to Cynthia. I can actually say I like her now that I understand her story and I absolutely LOVE her and Samuel! Can't wait to see what's next, especially after that ending!

Iris Bolling is such an amazing writer! My first introduction to her was the Gems and Gents series.Needless to say I loved each and every one of the books in the series. Ten I discovered The Heart series was where I would learn how Samuel Lassiter and his wife Cynthia ‘s back story. So of course even though I order box set 1 of the heart series I read their story book 3 which is Look into my Heart first. Baby let me say I was hooked for sure.
I had to read the rest of the books because now I’ve gained background on many of the amazing characters that seemed larger than life, such as JD Harrison and his wife Tracy and another favorite of mine AL Turk Day☺️. Each book in this set builds on their other even though they don’t end with a cliff hanger.
I have been riveted to my iPad reading this wonderful story along with the others in this series. The books contain all the elements of. A great read and could easily be a Netflix series.
I am a 75 year old Romantic at heart who enjoys romance,action,and suspense with a little levity on the side☺️. Ms. Bolling provides all of that and more in her books. I would suggest you start with book one of the series You won’t be disappointed ❤️

I started reading the 3rd book in this series, and I literally didn't put it down until the last page. I am enjoying this series, and each book gets better.
I originally encounter Samuel and Cynthia in one of the Gem and Gents books. After reading that, I had to find out where and how they got their start.
I am usually not a big fan of drama in books. I have to say that I love the way the Brooks, Harrisons, and Lassiters take care of business and shut the drama down!
I also appreciate the way the couples love and take care of each other. Samuel and Cynthia were so connected and had such chemistry. Even when she didn't know who Hurricane (Samuel) was, I knew La'Vere was not the man for Cynthia.
The book was full of everything. Intrigue, danger, backstabbing, suspense, action, romance, family, loyalty, love, a a whole lot of heat. It had all the feels. I was glad Samuel and Cynthia got their HEA. On to the next book!!

This was a great read. I did not care for Cynthia but readling this book I got a better understanding of why she was the way she was. Her mother is a real piece of work. Cynthia finally realized she wanted someone who truly loved her. Someone was trying to kill her. Samuel Lassiter was assigned as her bodyguard to stop that. His nickname is Hurricane. There are lots and twists and turns to the story. But in the end Cynthia finally found someone who loved her.

There's so someone out there for everybody, even Cynthia. To win her mother's love, she's willing to settle for Prince Levere, but Samuel Lassiter sees who she really is and accepts her, flaws and all. Cynthia wants what her friends have, love. She has to decide what she wants. I wanted to give the book a higher rating, but it still had a number of errors even though the book has an updated cover.

Loved this story of Samuel and Cynthia; she was feisty and could hold her own. Samuel was her protector and showed her real love. I was brought to tears when she was missing and calling out to him while she was unconscious. Joshua putting him down and knowing that when he came to that there would be hell to pay very funny.

This book ended with my jaw dropping. All I can say is wow! This book was awesome from the beginning to the end. When you have family secrets it hurts everyone involved. I often wonder about politicians and if they really go through people trying to kill them all the time. This is a really good series.

Exciting! Samuel and Joshua work together!
I like all the inside looks at the characters different personas. It kept interested and waiting for the next thing g to happen! I love that the characters were able to relate to each other in so many colourful ways!

Great story!
I really enjoyed this book. The entire series is awesome. I felt bad for Cynthia. Compensating for her mother's love led to horrible decision making. Samuel was good for her.

I really liked this series, but I can't stand Cynthia. I hate that she got Samuel. I feel like just because she wanted love it didn't change her from the selfish, self centered person she has always been.

In this book number three of the Heart series we see that matters of the heart are still going strong and they are turning out to be almost more trouble than they are worth. But that is what the heart makes you think.
Cynthia Thornton is a very beautiful woman and she knows it, she has a beautiful three level condo with all of the amenities, drives a stylish expensive car, has a very successful event planning business and has men falling at her feet. With all of that, the one thing that Cynthia doesn’t is love like her friends have with their husbands and that is something that money can’t buy. The one man that Cynthia loves more than anything can prove to be a deadly mistake for her. Prince LaVere Ashro is smitten by Cynthia’s beauty and fire and thinks that she would make the perfect wife and Princess for him, after he grooms her into the woman that he knows that he knows that she can be to help he lead his country into the future and out of the past. He has money, good looks, charm and he is a Prince, what more could a woman like Cynthia want? Attorney General JD Harrison is receiving some disturbing information from his past that might shake up his future. Being the upstanding man that JD is, he has to deal with this information straight forward and hope that there is not too much collateral damage. Governor Gavin Roberts still has many connections to things from his past that are haunting him that he is trying to get away from but they are continuing to come for him. Carolyn Roth-Roberts has fought so hard to get into the Governor’s mansion she cannot and will not let anyone or anything keep her from her where she belongs and she will show that she has a united front with her husband the only that Carolyn knows how. Samuel Lassiter is the newest addition to Brian’s security team and he is showing his worth with his newest assignment. His assignment is showing to be a tough assignment but being the constant professional that he is he will complete his assignment one way or another with complete satisfaction to Brian, himself and everyone involved.
Look Into My Heart is an excellently written story. I was engrossed in the storyline from the beginning and was held captive all the way through. I love the way Iris Bollling introduces you to the characters then she creates the books around them so she will pull two main characters in the forefront and have everyone else as supporting cast. I love all of the characters so I really don’t care who is in there because they are ALL my favorites. She is such a great storyteller I am starting to think that these are her family members and she is writing about her life. Once again Iris, great job and continued success!

Another home run! It was refreshing to see why Cynthia was the person she was and also show that despite how she treated Tracy in the beginning, why Tracy saw her heart and how we grow to love her as well. Cynthia questioned if she was worth loving and if she would receive true love. Samuel was the man for the job and I loved him. Not only does Samuel protect Cynthia but he shows what true love is and he also tame the sassy independent Cynthia . Also, I love me so Joshua, Samuel’s brother who is known as Absolute. I look forward to reading his story. I cannot get enough of this series, I am hooked.

This is probably my least favorite so far of the books. The love scenes were the best in this book, but the storyline was kind of all over the place. The story was still good nonetheless. Samuel is my favorite hero so far this series because he wasn't a suit and was the bad boy. He really kept things interesting. Cynthia was her usual self, but there was a softer side to her in this book which was a pleasant surprise. Off to read the 4th installment.

I really loved the continuation of Cynthia & Samuel's story. I am so enjoying ths series and will be sad to see it end. Keep them coming Iris! I place this series in the category with the books written by another favorite author that I really love. I so love a good love story and I like the way the author injects suspense into the story it keeps you wanting more. I will keep reading until I am done with this entire series!
