About the author

Karen Kendall is the author of many disasters and nine romantic comedies. She grew up in Austin, Texas, and credits her early interest in writing to several teachers and her mother, a professor of comparative literature.

A graduate of Smith College, Karen studied the mysteries of modern and contemporary art before enrolling in a masters program in Museum Education, with the aim of teaching children about art. She worked for several museums and galleries before following her lifelong dream and completing a novel.

Karen is still a big fan of children's art, but she now writes full time and lives in Florida with her husband, Don, and attack-cat Boo, who turns up her nose at chicken and fish but adores asparagus and mint-chocolate-chip ice cream.

This bundle was different in that we get the story of two women and one man who are threaded together from their ownership of the spa "After Hours"
It starts with Peg, the masseuse, who has a run in with the new landlord, and starts a steamy affair until she finds out he is trying to evict the spa. Some heart break and hilarity ensues, and they finally end up together
Marley, the hairdresser, is next and our bohemian free-spirit catches the eye of the Republican Governor, who quickly explains that she is the one for him! Marley needs to work through her expectations and what she can accept or change before these two finalize their partnership
Finally we see what makes the Peruvian Alejo, the mani-pedi specialist, get all hot and bothered. He has had his eye on the Boston-born heiress in his MBA class he is taking. Terrified of anyone knowing his profession, it makes for some interesting situations before he is finally outed and accepts who he is and what he does so he can get and keep his girl
Set in Miami, these books create their own heat and, while the end results are love, the ride there isn't also a typical ride, and a fun one to read
