Like him or not, Savage knows his shit when it comes to foods and the healing properties of them. Savage makes a compelling case for the kitchen before the medicine cabinet. Why fill yourself with pills when a simple change of diet is all you need? With patience and responsibility, food can be a miracle tool to fight aliments.

Like most informative books... Good to know but.... Are you really going to do it? Seems to be a black hole of "because of" to why nothing out there will really be considered healthy. You have to grow it yourself and make your own water and well everything on earth is polluted anyway so...dunnn dun dunnnnnn.

He gives an interesting approach to alternative healing methods. I can't say I agree with everyone, but perhaps the method should be looked at before going in to a doctor for every ailment, perhaps some even minor.

Just got this book on 9/27/10. i hope to have it read in 2 weeks. Dr. Savage seems to be well educated and does not seem, so far, to take any extreme positions on diet, which falls in line with I have been taught. We shall see...

Interesting ideas about nutrition. Mostly good advice, although it would be quite expensive to follow it all.
