Having recently read The Mockingbird Next Door, as well as a lot of "journalistic" coverage of Lee's proposed upcoming publication of her second novel, Go Set a Watchman, I felt I needed to revisit her iconic novel. I guess I was looking for the real Harper Lee, and I have found her again - not in newspaper articles, speculations online, or supposed memoirs. She is to be found in To Kill a Mockingbird. I found her; she is still there.

Currently up to Chapter 5. Goodreads didn't have the version I am reading so this was the best choice.
