I've been doing a lot of reading about ADD, because I was diagnosed in my 60s, and I truly want to understand what the syndrome is and how it manifests itself. An although this book was written in 1995 and therefore should be outdated, it gave the best description of the behaviors that accompany the condition, and explained a lot of what my life is like. In very simple language. As far as I'm concerned, it's a veritable treasure, and I'm keeping it to refer back to every now and then, to keep myself on the straight and narrow. (As much as it's possible for anyone with ADD to be on the straight and narrow ...)
As someone with ADHD, I found it very relatable and easy to read. It’s a very friendly book. Throughout reading it, I pondered upon the same experiences I’ve had in my life and it really resonated with me.
I recommend this book for those who want to learn more and have a deeper understanding about ADHD. It can be as friends, family, and even someone who is diagnosed with it.
A really accessible guide to ADHD for both people with ADHD (or suspect they have it) and for the people in their lives. It's easy and fast to read while still covering many specific, actionable points. Even though the book is from 1995, I still highly recommend it.
