I believe that is one of the reasons we love Michael, not only is he the world's greatest performer, able to make us smile with a single pirouette, but he is also a great poet whose thoughts can truly touch us. He is a child of the universe and he shares his love and wisdom with us all. -Adrian Grant

Grant associated closely with Michael Jackson for over 10 years and he grants the readers an exclusive interview with the King himself for this gorgeous colored picture-book.
This 32-page glossy book of large photographs is worth grabbing by every Michael Jackson fan because Grant is admittedly a fan himself and throughout the slim book we get to see that the interviewer sincerely respects his subject, Michael Jackson. For the exclusive interview, Grant asks Michael perceptive questions that give the readers an insight into the man's mind and soul. The pictorial format adds value to this worth collecting book because who doesn't want to own a large picture of the marvelous gold pants? There are many other (colored) pictures that are included in this book from Blood on the Dance Floor, They Don't Care About Us, Stranger in Moscow, You Are Not Alone, Scream etc etc.. The greatest bonus with this splendid picture-book is the color pull-out poster (16x22") which is the same picture of this book's cover, You Are Not Alone head shot. I don't think any MJ collection is complete without Adrian Grant's Michael Jackson: Making HIStory.

Making History is a beautiful, glossy photo book for those that love the HIStory album and concert tour. Adrian Grant's interview is interesting and shows Michael in a positive light. This 32-page book of large photos is an opportunity for MJ fans to see the pouty lips, gold pants, and bare-chested wonder coupled with wonderful shots of Blood on the Dance Floor, Ghosts, and Earth Song costuming.

Full lyrics to HIStory are included near the back as well as a 16x22" color pull-out poster that unfolds into the classic You Are Not Alone head shot. No MJ fan should be without it.

All of Adrian Grant's books on MJ are worth collecting - here for once is an author/interviewer who genuinely likes, admires and appreciates his subject and the opportunity to meet and talk to him. Though this is a slim volume, through the interview process, we are given an insight into the songs on Michael's HIStory double album. Grant is a fan himself, and it shows in the intelligent questions he asks his subject. The pictorial format means there are some great photographs to accompany the text. Though Making HISTory may be hard to get these days, it's worth trying Amazon's second hand sellers as well as EBay if you love MJ. This one's well worth the effort.
