By the time she hit Grade Four, Laura Langston knew she wanted to be a writer. So did the teachers. It was the persistent daydreaming and invisible friends that tipped them off. Since Laura grew up knowing no writers – and consequently didn’t know how to be one – she became a journalist instead. The trouble is, journalists are expected to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

But making stuff up is way more fun. So eventually Laura traded one notebook for another and today she writes books for tweens, teens, children and sometimes adults.

When she’s not writing, reading or walking her Shetland sheepdogs, Laura can be found spying on people in the grocery store or twisting herself into a pretzel in yoga class. To learn more, visit www.lauralangston.com. Follow her at www.facebook.com/LauraLangston.Author

Hannah's Touch was predictable, but unique. I found it crazy how the heroine gained healing powers from a bee sting (although she only had it for a certain purpose). I didn't like the ending and how abrupt it was. All in all, I found it to be a quick read and I liked it.

Hannah finds out the hard way that she's allergic to bees but, after her ordeal, she finds out she's developed the gift of healing. That fact further complicates her messed up life and is one more thing to deal with besides her boyfriend's death.

This was a short, quick YA novel that kept me interested. I like how the authors ended the story, also. No need for another wrap up chapter which is often overkill.

Hannah's Touch by Laura Langston is a compelling novel about a teenage girl who got stung by a bee. She felt very uncautious afterwards and falls to the ground a few moments after the bee stung her. When she was uncautious she met her boyfriend Logan, who died, in "dream". Now after she wakes upand gets out from the hospital she now discovers she has some type of special power because when she touches someone they would feel werid in the inside of their bodies. For example, when she touched Tom, Hannah's friend, he felt tingly like an electric charge is running inside him. That's when Hannha starts to worry that Tom will tell the others or know it's Hannah that's making him feel this way because when she touched Alan, Lexi, or Marie the same thing happens to them. Pretty soon Tom can place the puzzles pieces together to find out something is wrong with Hannah. However, Hannah's powers is not a bad thing. The person heals after being touched by Hannah like Lexi's nose, or Alan's thumb. Everytime after she touches them she would feel tired, she felt exhausted after touching/healing Tom's leg. Whe Hannah saw Logan's medallion again, which a nurse gave back to her, she begins to accept Logan's death and to move on.

When Hannah is stung by a bee and has an allergic reaction, she wakes up to discover that she can now heal with her tough. She is quite disconcerted by her new found power, and wants to know what she is supposed to do with it.

In addition, Hannah is still struggling with the death of her boyfriend the year before and blames his best friend for his death. Both stories do come together - and Hannah finds herself healing no only others, but herself too.

A quick and light read that will appeal to older readers, though accessible to those struggling with reading and reading comprehension.

Hannah’s touch is about a girl who gets stung by a bee and her soul leaves her body and is greeted by her dead boyfriend, Logan, with a loving but unseen presence. She wants to stay with him but he keeps on telling her she has to go back to the real world and must do something important.
Hannah doesn't know what this thing she has to and has weird things happening around her. Ever since the bee sting, she has the power the heel and faces many challenges as she tries to find her purpose in the world.
I didn't really connect with the character because I didn't like how she always cries about everything. She was only lost. The author did really good at describing the other world. She explains how Hannah falls into a sleep where it puts her into a bright lightroom. That was a very good descriptive writing. It was talking about haven but in a sleep way.
I do not recommend this book because of it very slow and boring, I wish there were more actions and more clues why the boyfriend was there. The boyfriend was dead but his soul was very mysterious but silent.

This book isn't the kind of book that I usually read. I find myself leaning more towards realistic books, more so about crimes. However, this book interesting and like something I would watch on TV.

This kind of ruined Tom’s story for me. He was awful in this, but Hannah was even worse.

It's been a year since the death of her boyfriend, Logan. Hannah is struggling to put her life back together. One thing that helps a little is her job at the local drugstore. She has gotten to know the regular customers, even grouchy old Maude O'Connell, who insists Hannah call her M.C. The woman's strange little dog named Kitty just adds to her eccentricity.

One day while on her break, Hannah is stung by a bee. Imagine her surprise when she learns she is deathly allergic and ends up having a near-death experience that lands her in the hospital. In the middle of her emergency, she remembers M.C. and Kitty lending a hand to comfort her, and when the excitement settles down, they are crediting her with healing them. M.C. still needs her walker, but she is noticeably more spry than before, and the ancient Kitty is suddenly full of doggy energy.

Hannah tries to avoid the crazy idea that she had anything to do with their improved health, but when something similar happens again during her cooking class, she realizes there may be something to it. The more she focuses on each individual event, the more she remembers. There was a tingling followed by a soft feeling and renewed energy. She also must admit that the voice of Logan spoke words of encouragement during each episode.

All this is difficult to talk about. Most people, except for M.C., don't take her seriously. Is what she's experiencing a miracle or some sort of strange curse?

Laura Langston's HANNAH'S TOUCH offers a quick glimpse into the world of miracles. It's an easy, fast read most teens will enjoy.

In the book "Hannah's Touch" written by Laura Langston Hannah discovers life as she has never seen before. She says in the book "a be sting changed my whole life"
Hannah's boyfriend Logan passed away a few months before the setting of this book. He passed away drinking and driving. He was racing his friend Tom while they where both drunk. This reminds me of when my uncle passed away of alcohol use.
Hannah lives in regret now because of it. Hannah gets stung by a bee and passed out and she looses something so valuble that logan gave to her. . . His st. christopher medallion. When she pased out she went to place, Logan was there he wanted her to do something.
Once she came back to herself eveyone who got hurt or was hurting she would heel them with just a touch. Tom gets hurt and ends up in the hospital, Hannah despizes him because he bascially killed her boyfriend but she goes to the hospital and when she touched him it happened soemthing more powerful, and that right when she realized what Logan wanted. He wanted them to stop living in regret and to finally get along. Tom and Hannah decide to become friend and HAnnah Find logans Medallion.
This book is for one's who enjoy thiller's and mysterys. If I had to rate this book i would rate it a 9 out of ten.

Most of the Orca Books I’ve read so far have dealt with real life situations, and I’ve really enjoyed that, but I’m a huge paranormal junky, so Hannah’s Touch was a real treat! While still dealing with real life situations and utilizing the coming of age theme, Langston reaches out to readers who also crave a bit of the unexplained.

After a bee sting nearly kills Hannah, she begins to notice that she’s not exactly normal anymore: she now has the power to heal. Grappling with her new identity, Hannah must decide what to do with her “gift,” and she must overcome her hurt and anger in order to do what is right. Langston does a wonderful job capturing the teenage voice in this novel. Hannah struggles with forgiveness and guilt, both directly related to her boyfriend’s death the previous year...

Hannah's boyfriend Logan had died in a car accident. Hannah still can't let it go and wears his medallion everyday. When Hannah was walking out of a pharmacy she got stung by a bee and sees Logan. Logan gives her a message she does not understand. Afterwards she realizes she has a healing power, and has to figure out what Logan wanted her to do with this power.

I just took this off the shelf randomly.

I finished this book because I was curious what the message was.

I would reccommend this to anyone who's interested in unusual happenings.

This book was given to me as a book in a series that is targeted for low reading proficiency with content aimed at ya. My granddaughter is 13 (well in two days she will be) and reads at a 3-4 grade level due to learning disability. I was looking for a book we could read together that was above Junie B Jones, but at that reading level. So far so good. This book was just what the doctor ordered. I will be reading more books by this publisher.

The theme of this book is overcoming a loss. An example is when Hannah at the end forgives Tom because she realizes that she can't always live her life hating someone for an accident. I think what the author was trying to say about this book is never blame someone for another persons death because odds are they are feeling worse than you are. I really enjoyed this book and is was a quick read. I would recommend this book to ages 12 and up.

The book was so interesting it had everything and the book was all together all the peaces fit together and the book made me feel like I was right next to her when every thing was happening. The book also had a lot of description and I could tell that the writer tried hard on this book.

It was an interesting book, but it went too quickly for my taste. I felt that it could have wrestled with the conflict for much longer.

This quick read was one of the best I've read. I really enjoyed the fantasy angle. The pace was good, the characters felt realistic, and things were resolved well. I really enjoyed it.

The book Hannahs Touch takes place in Seattle, WA. This book was just sticking out when i needed a book report due ASAP. When sixteen-year-old Hannah gets stung, she rises out of her body, where she's greeted by her dead boyfriend, Logan, and a loving but unseen presence. She wants to stay with them. They say no. Hannah narrates the magic realism of her experiences with a sarcastic wit that adds humour to the book. Fast read most teens will enjoy.
