In Rival Revenge , the truth is out about whether Julia and Alison really cheated on the test that got them kicked off the riding team. Now they’re back, and this time, they’re not just in it to win it—they’re out for revenge. A dish that’s definitely best served cold.

i'm debating whether to give this book 2 stars or 3 stars because i really liked the ending but overall it felt really repetitive (like every book in this series) and sasha was overally annoying throughout this book.
3.5 stars. Miles better than the previous book, but I still didn't entirely like it.
And that mostly had to do with Sasha and her enormous stupidity. Doesn't she see that by holding silent, by just hiding in a hole, that she is hurting people a lot? Why can't she just be honest about what happened in the previous book. Why can't she just trust her friends. I feel that those friends of hers are only her friends when it is all good to her, otherwise she will just not go to them. And that is just stupid.
I also got so tired of her OMG-I-am-not-good-enough mood regarding horses. She was already quite extreme about this stuff, but in this book it went up a notch or twenty and I was just shaking my head at one scene in particular. You did that? While being like that? Are you a fucking idiot? Do you want to hurt your horse? Do you want to never ride again? And then you do that afterwards? Seriously girl, where is the Sasha I used to like? Did she die and rise as some kind of weak-assed zombie or something? I really do hope that the next book she will finally confine in a friend, finally get that Jacob-stuff over (I really am starting to hate the name Jacob by the way) and also will stop being such an idiot around her horse.
Jasmine wasn't also the greatest character (but then again, she never was). Though she really got overconfident and did something stupid, which made me cheer, it was about time!
We also find out about the whole Alison and Julia situation, did they cheat? Or did they not? I was already wondering when this would be solved, as it took quite a bit, and I just wanted to see it solved. And I really liked how it got solved/how things got done regarding this situation.
Heather, Heather was the breath of air in this book, and I absolutely adored her. She is really sweet (though still with a bitchy attitude at times). She was really kind to Sasha, tried to help her out, was firm and clear to her when Sasha did something idiotic (which happened a lot). I am so glad that Heather is slowly turning to be nicer and kinder. I do hope that this will be something that continues, and not gets thrown out of the window as soon as Sasha is on talking terms with her friends again.
The horse parts were really fun and I loved reading about the exercises, about the competitions that were coming, and to see everyone care for the horses. There is a lot of that in this book, so I was delighted. :)
I can't wait to see what will happen in the next book, especially considering that ending. I am quite curious how things will go and, again, I do hope that Heather will stay like she was in this (and also the previous book).
Sasha’s really messed up her life. She lost her best friend, her boyfriend, almost all of her other friends, and utterly destroyed her reputation. Riding is everything now.
Sasha takes her seriousness about riding to another level. She’s obsessed with keeping her grades up, staying on the YENT, keeping her secret and staying far away from Callie, Jacob and Eric. These obsessions start to take a toll on her physically and mentally, and she pushes herself way too far. She refuses to let anyone help her, except Heather. You can’t really argue with or ignore Heather Fox. She’ll just keep bugging you until you pay attention to her.
I love seeing a different and more kinder side of Heather and the rest of the Trio. Heather understands what Sasha is going through and she sees right through the false front Sasha is attempting to put up. Heather keeps up her reputation of not caring about others by wrapping everything nice she says to Sasha in an insult. Sasha lets her do this because she knows how important Heather’s reputation is to her. Sasha can see through the Heather’s front right now. I really hope Heather stays nice in the next books.
Paige also sees through the false front Sasha is putting up. She knows something is wrong and she doesn’t believe Sasha’s lies. If Sasha doesn’t let Paige in on the secret soon, she’s going to lose her last friend.
”Paige, who hadn’t lost any of her friends and was just starting a relationship with Ryan, didn’t understand one thing--that when you lost everything, you had nothing to lose. And if I stopped for one second, I knew I’d realize how much I’d really lost” (pg. 217).
Thank goodness this didn’t end on another cliff-hanger because I don’t have the rest of the books. I will have to get them from my local library.
literally cannot stand Sasha😂 she’s putting a boy before every single person in her life and I hateeee that. Then again, she’s in 8th grade so it makes sense 😂 I do like the ending, with Julia and Alison getting justice
In Canterwood Crest, the difficulties of being a teenager happens. Sasha Silver gets transferred to an uptight riding academy, she struggles with the tight schedules of school, riding, and her personal life. Can Sasha Silver pull through in her challenges at Canterwood Crest?
While Sasha is a new student, she struggles on finding friends, she has already gotten on the wrong side of Heather Fox. When she realizes that things are getting rough she has her roommate Paige Parker to lean on for advice. Sasha meets a new girl going through the same situation at the Canterwood Crest barn named Callie Harper. Teenage life can be very difficult, but with the knowledge Paige and Callie can share to Sasha, pretty soon she will be flying through her grade seven year at Canterwood Crest.
Canterwood Crest: Rival Revenge was very good. It is about a girl who lives at a boarding school called Canterwood Crest Academy. You must have a special talent or activity you are good at. Sasha Silver, the main character, is an amazing horse rider who is on the Youth Equestrian National Team (YENT). There is a lot of pressure in Sasha's life, between riding, boyfriends, and best friends. She becomes so overwhelmed that she even fainted while she was riding.
I though this book was pretty good. This is the seventh book of the series and I have read all the ones before it too. It was kind of boring at first, but the action started to pick up as I went. I think the biggest reason I like this series is because Sasha is an equestrian rider, just like me. She is a lot better than me, but we have the same passion for horses. My favorite part was at the end when Sasha caught Jasmine(her enemy)on tape saying that she made it look like Julia and Allison(Two of Sasha's friends)cheated on a big exam and they were suspended from riding for six months. Jasmine got in so much trouble that she was expelled.
I love this installment so much more than I did the last. Sasha did exactly what I wanted her to do, which was figure out who she really is and mature from this experience. I saw a bit of myself in Sasha when she was running herself to the ground, and I really admire the amount of willpower she has to stick with her initial decisions. I feel like the past two books of this series have been very excellent and realistic examples of life as a girl in middle school. I really love seeing the character development with Julia, Alison, and Heather - especially Heather. The Trio really has matured since the first book, but they also keep their personalities. I loved getting to know Heather more and her background with riding. I loved how real Paige got with Sasha. I also, once again, just wanted to hug Sasha when she would be struggling not to break down in Charm's stall and tell her that things will get better, that this time in her life won't last. This book definitely redeemed what a bit of a flop the last one was, and I absolutely cannot wait to see how the dynamic at Canterwood changes with Jasmine gone.
I love this series and I just started reading it and it's SO AWESOME!!!!! if your into horses like myself then this book is the right one for you! it has drama and tons or horses. This is one of my favourite series because whats a book without drama and your favourite animal!!!
Most of the time I find Sasha Silver annoying as well as her friends. Their topics barely have substance in them and they are always obsessing over boys. Her friendship with Heather has been a breath of relief and I hope that in the future books this isn't cast aside if she works out her friendship with Paige and Callie (the boyfriend stealer). Does anybody else find it strange that Callie is so upset at something she had no problem doing previously. I know this book isn't geared at my audience (believe me I'm 22) but the drama can be so tired and repetitive at times.

I loved this one just as much as I loved the 6 other books in the series. Reading a book about horses and not being annoyed with how the horses act has made me a happy girlie for as long as I've been reading these 7 books, and I know it will continue at least until I finish this series.
Every storyline so far has been a great one, and I don't hate anything happening in any of the books so far. I recommend this series to any kid who loves horses, and I'm hoping to be able to recommend it personally to someone I meet one day.
Can't wait to read #8, but that will come in the new year.

I gave this 3 just because I feel like this should’ve been book 6 and book 6 should have been 7. Only because the events in this book are more correlated to the events in book 5, than the sixth book. Like I just really wanted to know what happened with Callie and if they will be okay, but they just kept talking about things that happened in the book before. So 3 ⭐️
This is such an amazing book. I couldn't stop reading it. I finished it on the day I started the book. I recommend this book for 9-13 year olds. You should read this if you like horse books with a lot of drama.
I must be crazy to be enjoying Jessica's books at my age of over 80! But they are fun and bring back many memories for me! I was totally horse crazy with a bond to a wonderful horse. He was my love and he returned every bit of it!
I flew through this book literally dayz i couldn't get myself to put it down I feel just as confused as Sasha Abt which boy Eric and Jacob are sweeties I'm excited to see how the homecoming goes in book 8

sooooo much better than the last one thank god the boy drama was less in my face. and SO much heather. sasha "i always wondered what heather's room was like" silver...GIRL.
The stable has found a sense of normalcy, as tense as it is. Meanwhile, Julia and Allison are out for revenge, swearing they didn’t cheat and are out for justice. And Sasha’s personal life is as messy as ever as she tries to hold in the secret that blew up her relationships.
I love Paige so much in this book. She absolutely sees through Sasha, who is an absolute train wreck, so much so that even Heather is telling her to chill out. I kind of started liking Heather over the last couple of books but this was the one that I really took a liking to her. Sasha really started down a self destructive path in a big way in this book, which of course I related to a lot, so I understood and sympathized with her more than being irritated. Though I did want to scream at her about her decision to ride when she was already dizzy. All I could picture in my head was that Saddle Club episode when Stevie passes out riding, though that was from a concussion but also from bad decisions.
