Dabbling with weights for the first time in 2005, I found this book to be extremely helpful. Most of the exercises in the book can be performed with little equipment. As long as you have a couple dumbbells (up to 10-15 lb. each) + a stability ball, you can perform this program as a beginner. I made a LOT of progress without a gym membership. I would not purport this book to those who have been training with weights for a few months...exercises are not very complex.

If you are intimidated by weight training, this book will alleviate your fears. Most libraries carry this edition, so it's free for the asking.

Keep training!

Great book, annoying to flip from back to front to look at the exercises, especially on a kindle!
