This book reminds me of the stupidity of the European gear shift in cars. Just because some, mostly male, humans are so low they need to feel better than the rest, systems like Latex don't die. The packages are incompatible between them. A complete distribution can be larger than an office suite. It is convoluted. And only an expert might see the difference.
Overall the book is okay, it's the subject that is junk.
