Kit lives in Idaho with her husband and two sons. She enjoys writing several genres and subgenres. When she started publishing, dinosaurs roamed the earth, and authors had one pen name with their publisher. That was the name you wrote everything under, no matter how dissimilar. Thanks to advances in publishing, it's now easy to have more than one pen name, and many readers have come to expect a certain type of book experience from each author. The "brand," if you will. Kit's catalog makes it difficult to tell what brand you're getting, so she has "co-authored" each type with a pen name, so you'll know what kind of book to expect. * Paranormal Romances (including shifters): Kit Fawkes and Kit Tunstall * Contemporary romance with some steam, but not erotic: Lilly LaRue and Kit Tunstall * Contemporary romances that are erotic: Kit Kyndall and Kit Tunstall * Edgier works (including fertile erotic romances, bad boys, and stepbrothers): Kristianna Sawyer and Kit Tunstall * Science fiction romance: Aurelia Skye and Kit Tunstall. * Horror and post-apocalyptic: T.K. Nick Martin is a firefighter who saves Miriam Zorga's life. To thank him she invites him to dinner at the country club. Nick goes along with it but he feels uncomfortable at the club and he realizes that Miriam has a tight control on her emotions. Everything is done by plan. Nick does feel attracted to Miriam. He invites her to dinner where he makes all the decisions. They end up at a seedy bar and Miriam feels totally out of her element. I enjoyed how Nick was taking the time to take Miriam out of her comfort zone. The sex was hot and they were so opposite they were perfect for each other.
Be Careful What You Wish For- Joanna Wylde
Sandra is a massage therapist who is at the wrong place at the wrong time. She runs into knife wielding Sean who is there to kill her client. Sean has been in prison for 5 years because of Sandra's client and he plans to get revenge. Since he cannot leave a witness behind and he does not want to kill her, he kidnaps Sandra. Sean thinks that Sandra is a hooker and after not having had a woman for 5 years he plans on her scratching his itch. Sandra is so terrified that she will do anything including having sex with Sean in order to stay alive. Once Sean finds out that Sandra is not a hooker and that she only has sex with him because of fear he realizes that he wants so much more from her. While some of the contents in this story were controversial it was a very hot and I did enjoy it.
Drop Dead Sexy- Elisa Adams
Joy is a freelance writer who wants to do a story on "What men like in bed". She uses her neighbor Nathan to do the interview. Since Nathan has been attracted to Joy he decides to show her what he likes. This was Quickie. Not much character development but some steamy sex.
I never know what I'm really going to get with books published by Ellora's Cave, and once again this one caught me by surprise. I was expecting 3 contemporary erotic romances. The first story, Ablaze by Kit Tunstall, was exactly that. I didn't really feel the connection between the two main characters, teacher Miri and firefighter Nick, so I found the story kind of boring. The second story, Be Careful What You Wish For by Joanna Wylde, was a lot more engaging but I wasn't expecting such a heavy on-going dose of dubious consent between main characters massage therapist Sandra and unspecified shady-past Sean. But with them you could watch the passion grow and the relationship blossom which was engaging and there was ongoing outside action and stressors as well to keep the plot going. And I know Valzar remains a bad guy in Sandra's opinion but I'm actually curious to learn more about him and see him get his own happy end in the future. The third story, Drop Dead Sexy by Elisa Adams is the shortest of the set but hot. And it has a paranormal twist which I wasn't expecting because I thought these would be traditional contemporary stories.
Synopsis: Ablaze. When the unbelievably gorgeous firefighter who saved Miri's life convinces her there's nothing wrong with a naughty fling, she relaxes her routine and surrenders her supple body to his strong, capable hands.... Be Careful What You Wish For. Frightened for her life, Sandra will do anything to please the sexy, muscle-bound man who kidnapped her to the South American jungle -- until she realizes that not all criminals are bad guys, and she invites him to give her steamy satisfaction. Drop Dead Sexy. After quiet Joy asks her flirtatious playboy neighbor to reveal his sexy fantasies, he entices her to indulge his kinky desires...and she surprises him with an exotic appetite of her own.
My Opinion: I enjoyed the stories a bit. The first one was good then it slowly made me wonder why I bought the book. The last one was really an out there story. Even being a fan of Twilight I did not like the last story very much at all.
As another reviewer said, un-themed collection of stories - they are erotic - that's the only glue that holds them together.
I found the first story utterly unsexy. The female protagonist was a drip. The male protagonist was one-dimensional.
The second story was at least hot. It was unrealistic, but I am not looking for the Grapes of Wrath when I read erotica.
The third story made me want to throw the book against a wall (the only thing stopping me was that this was a library book and I didn't want to get charged with damages). The surprise twist was trite, trite trite! It was the most disappointing thing I have read in published erotica to date. Feh!
If you chance upon this book - read the longer, 2nd story and save yourself time by ignoring the other two.
Ablaze...cute story, liked the characters & hot sex - good combination.
Be Careful What You Wish For...great chacters, slightly disturbing situations, good action/danger element and hot sex. Would have been a great story had the 'hero' not been so nonchalant about offing the kidnapping victim - just ok for me.
Drop Dead Sexy...I guess I get the title after I've read the very short story. It was ok, not great. The sex was hot, but I didn't care about the people at all. I felt no connection to them at all; it cut off abruptly - I hate when that happens...ugh.

Ablaze did not light me up, although it was certainly on fire. Nick is a smoking hot fireman who rescues private school teach Miri from a school house fire. Miri is rich, slightly spoiled, and loves the color beige. Nick is into beer (seriously, that's about all we get of his personality). They hook up and improbably fall in love. After having raunchy sex in the restroom of a raunchy bar. Where stiff, stuffy Miri, she of the beige couch, loveseat and underpants, takes her shoes off!! (Note to Miri - do not ever remove footwear in a public restroom, even if it is for sex.)
Multi-author unthemed anthology. The last story has paranormal elements - the first two are straight contemporaries. Heroine is kidnapped and intimidated into sex in story 2, and story 3 has a bit of bondage...
