Czarna Galera
Thorgal Aegirsson, l'enfant des étoiles... Adopté et élevé par un chef viking, il est le descendant direct d'hommes et de femmes qui ont trouvé refuge sur une autre planète, il y a très longtemps... Ses géniteurs terriens, eux, sont bien de notre époque. Ils s'appellent Jean Van Hamme, scénariste à succès (XIII, Largo Winch...), et Grzegorz Rosinski, dessinateur réaliste au trait vigoureux. Depuis 1977, date de sa première aventure, Thorgal trace tranquillement sa voie sur la route du succès. Il faut dire qu'il attire la sympathie. Par ses qualités de héros, bien sûr. Mais peut-être plus encore par ses qualités personnelles, qui font de lui un être à part dans la bande dessinée. Car Thorgal est avant tout profondément humain. Une créature fragile et incertaine, en proie au doute et à l'échec. Homme d'action mais aussi mari amoureux et père de famille attentionné... В "Черната галера" се сблъскваме с последиците от лъжата, омразата и ревността.
Но Торгал никога не се предава и продължава да се бори, дори когато няма никакъв реален шанс да победи или да се спаси.
Най-добрият албум от първите четири от серията, а историята продължава в следващия, "Отвъд сенките".

Mam wrażenie, że autorzy są już coraz bliżej thorgalowej esencji. Można oczywiście ponarzekać i wytknąć deus ex machina, gdy w kluczowym momencie znikąd pojawiają się Wikingowie albo granie nieprawdopodobnymi przypadkami, które doprowadzają do wyrwania się z więzów na statku, ale przyjmijmy, że mieści się to w konwencji dobrej przygodówki. Coraz więcej "klimatu", za jaki lata temu wszyscy ten komiks polubiliśmy

Zdecydowanie jeden z moim ulubionych zeszytów Thorgala. Wracałam do niego częściej niż normalnie. Galera, niewolnicy - sporo wątków, które mnie intrygowały i fascynowały. I kolory, które tak bardzo kontrastowały ze soba. To, co na wierzchu i to co pod podkładem.

Bir önceki maceranın masalsı atmosferinin tersine, bu kez gerçekçi, sert, acı bir hikâye var karşımızda. Bir aile kurup çiftçilik yaparak, Vikingler’in savaşçı hayatında uzak kalmak isteyen Thorgal’ın düşleri, bir hiç uğruna tarumar oluyor. Belki de onun kaderinde yerleşik hayat değil, gezginlik vardır. “Dünyanın bütün tutsakları bana kardeştir” diyor hikâyenin bir yerinde; belki de başka tutsaklara özgürlüğünü vermesi gerekiyordur. Sonraki sayılarda göreceğiz…

Les aventures continuent de prendre de l'ampleur. L'avantage c'est d'avoir de la nouveauté à chaque tome. Celle-ci finit de manière dramatique en plein milieu de l'histoire. Il faudra lire le tome suivant pour voir si la situation va s'arranger. Les dessins sont toujours sympathiques et je me régale du découpage des pages.

Thorgal to jeden z nielicznych dobrych komiksów, jakie czytałam jeszcze w podstawówce. Ten tom pokazuje skutki fałszywych oskarżeń i złudnej wszechmocy władcy.

In this thrilling Thorgal adventure, the valiant Thorgal is kidnapped from his bucolic village and has to fight his way back home.
There are NO fantasy elements in this story, which is disappointing. Is Thorgal historical fiction or medieval fantasy — that’s anyone’s guess. You may as well flip a coin as it changes from volume to volume.
The story opens with Thorgal and the pregnant Aaricia settled in a simple farming village. He’s put violence behind him and become a family man. It’s a little boring though, so he goes out for a midnight ride on his faithful steed.
And that’s when Shaniah the village slut makes a play for Thorgal’s affections, one he firmly rebuffs. The scorned woman steals his horse and flees. She is in turn ambushed by an escaped prisoner with a white beard who steals the horse and flees.
SPOILER
Who is this stranger and what are his intentions? The full answer to that central mystery will have to wait for later volumes.
The next day, a jarl and some soldiers from Brek Zarith come looking for the prisoner, and the slut blames Thorgal for abetting the escape.
After a futile fight, Thorgal is captured and taken aboard a black galley bound for Brek Zarith and commanded by its obese, effeminate prince.
After he insults the prince, Thorgal is attacked by the former’s leopard, whom Thorgal kills. He briefly makes it to shore but is recaptured.
Thorgal is forced to row with the galley slaves. He rebels and kills one of the slave masters.
Facing execution, he is spared by the Jarl, who hates the tyrannical prince and believes that Thorgal can help him (the Jarl) overthrow the king.
Unfortunately, the prince is listening to all this and captures both of them.
He is about to execute the pair when a band of vikings, old friends of Thorgal’s, attack the galley.
Thorgal and the Jarl escape below-decks in the confusion and slow the rowers, allowing the Vikings to board.
The prince is killed and the Jarl abandons ship, fearing the Vikings will kill him. The Vikings, flush with treasure, ask Thorgal to join them, but he declines so they drop him off at his village.
Unfortunately, the village has been burned to the ground by the jarl, who is waiting for Thorgal’s return. He had wanted to force Thorgal to join him by holding Aaricia hostage, but she escaped into the sea, and is presumed dead. After discovering the truth of Thorgal’s innocence from Shaniah, the jarl no longer has any interest in the man, but sticks around so Thorgal can avenge Aaricia.
The jarl is a cool character with his own sense of warrior’s honor. He has set up a one on one duel (not entirely fair though) — his 3 crossbow bolts against 3 arrows of Thorgal. The scene has the feel of a climactic Sergio Leone gunfight.
Thorgal is able to triumph by firing 2 arrows at once and the dying jarl laments that they might have been friends under different circumstances.
Shanaiah, having brought ruin on the village, begs Thorgal to kill her, but he leaves her alone to bury the dead and goes in search of Aaricia.

Thorgal leeft een rustig leventje als boer, samen met de zwangere Aaricia. Zijn rustig leventje zal echter algauw terug overhoop worden gehaald doordat de jaloerse Shaniah stookt nadat Thorgal haar avances niet beantwoord. Ze rijdt weg met zijn paard dat wordt gestolen door een ontsnapte gevangene.
Als de Jarl aan het hof van de machtige koning Shardar, Ewing, naar het dorp komt om de ontsnapte terug te brengen naar het slavenschip, wijst Shaniah naar Thorgal, die terstond gevangen wordt genomen. Jaloezie kan smerige dingen uitspoken. Thorgal wordt op de drakar vol slaven gezet richting Brek, het koninkrijk van koning Shardar. Op het schip leert Thorgal de excentrieke Veronar kennen. En al snel zal het botsen tussen de heren. Thorgal zal wel een onverwachte bondgenoot vinden maar niets is wat het lijkt!
Het verschil van de tekeningen met de huidige reeksen is dat deze tekeningen wat ruwer overkomen maar niettemin blijft dit een fantastische reeks vol historische verwijzingen. Ook al zijn de landen en personages fictief, er wordt getapt uit een rijke Scandinavische geschiedenis vol vikings, drakars en heerlijke figuren die al dan niet in de gunst staan van onze held. En uiteindelijk staat voor Thorgal altijd maar 1 ding echt op het spel: zijn rustige leventje met zijn vrouwtje, Aaricia!

Peut-être l'épisode le plus misogyne dans une série qui tente de creuser ses personnages féminins mais dont la fonction première reste d'être des trophées (Aaricia est enlevé à chaque épisode) ou des traitresses tel Shania la gamine qui prend une torgnole puis est agressée mais ne doit sa vie sauve au fait... qu'elle soit jolie.
La misogynie ambiante se teinte d'homophobie grâce à un nouveau méchant particulièrement caricatural, obèse et efféminé qui contraste avec la virilité et la pureté de Thorgal.
Une fois encore l'épisode est très rythmé, empile les rebondissements jusqu'à l'improbable (Thorgal n'est jamais exécuté alors qu'il a la merci de ses ennemis 2, 3 fois par tome).
Mais la BD continue de me surprendre : je n'avais pas vu venir la trahison de Shania, l'envoi de la double flèche m'aurait paru "trop cool" à 15ans et la radicalité de réduire en cendre le village m'a bien plu.
La BD se lit en 20min.
Quoique loin d'un Lanfeust ou de la la quete de l'oiseau du temps, les dessins sont en progrès. Les pages à fond de cale avec les esclaves sont très réussies.

Świetna, choć krótka historia opisująca perypetie Thorgala, bohatera, który pochodzi w linii prostej od ludzi, którzy przybyli z gwiazd, a który żyje w czasach Wikingów, gdzie legendy stają się codziennością. Tym razem los pokomplikuje mu życie dużo bardziej niż dotychczas.
Aaricia jest w ciąży, zaś Thorgal trudni się rolnictwem, ciesząc się ze spokojnego sąsiedztwa. Pech chce, że jedna z lokalnych dziewczyn ma się ku bohaterowi i w skutek zawiści oskarża bohatera o pomoc pewnemu uciekinierowi. Władza nie popuszcza takich występków, a Thorgal trafi na galerę. Osamotniony, przy wiośle, myśli tylko co się dzieje z jego rodziną...
Rosiński osiąga chyba tu swój szczyt możliwości. Kadry są przepiękne i jak na tamte czasu, szczegółowe w takim stopniu, o jakim się nie marzyło części wydawców. Ponownie mam niedosyt, bo historie Thorgala skupiają się niecałych 50 stronach. Niemniej to tu zaczyna się początek pierwszej, większej tułaczki bohatera.

DAMN CABRON, esto sí que hizo que quisiese leer todo lo que hubiese de Thorgal. La trama en sí no es espectacular, funciona y transmite lo que quiere transmitir sin cometer fallo alguno (más que suficiente); pero lo interesante llega al final. QUE FINAL. Si pensabas que Thorgal siempre tendría finales felices, la Galera negra te dice: "NO. Bienvenido a The Last Of Us II antes de que existiese The Last Of Us II". La galera negra me parece la primera historia de Thorgal que consigue alejarse de las demás, una obra maestra del cómic de cuyo final deberíamos tomar nota.

Thorgal e Aaricia non possono godersi nulla, e nonostnte il nostro eroe cerchi di allontanarsi dall'azione per vivere con la propria donna, è l'azione a seguirlo, qui sotto forma di una galea di schiavisti che lo cattura per intercessione di una ragazzina innamorata, la bella Shaniah. Al solito, ottimo numero e ottimi disegni di Rosinski.

'De zwarte galei' maakt snel duidelijk dat Thorgal geen gewone stripheld is - want zijn geliefde Aarica blijkt zwanger te zijn. In dit album heeft Thorgal een eenvoudig bestaan als boer, maar ellende komt snel zijn kant op... Dit verhaal is het eerste van een trilogie. Net als in deel 3 loopt de inkleuring achter op de kwaliteit van de tekeningen.

Przedstawienie intencji pobicia kobiety ze skutkiem śmiertelnym (na szczęście nie doszło do skutku), uderzenie innej kobiety w głowę, ciągnięcie jeszcze innej kobiety za włosy, próba porwania ciężarnej kobiety. Przemoc wobec niewolników. Na końcu obraz wioski po ludobójstwie z domniemanym gwałtem (aczkolwiek wyrażonym bardzo nie wprost). To nie wygląda jak komiks dla dzieci.

Thorgal nous entraine encore dans une nouvelle aventure, au récit intrigant et aux illustrations très réussies (dans ce tome l'affrontement avec les bêtes sauvages), dans un cycle composés des tomes 4-5-6 "S MAÎTRES DE BREK ZARITH". Les dialogues, les personnages, et l'originalité et les aspects réalistes du récit, que je découvre longtemps après sa sortie, en font, pour moi, une œuvre majeure.

Aquí la historia da un giro dramático. Thorgal parece haber encontrado la paz, para perderlo todo, aparentemente, y se inicia lo que parece que será una trama prolongada.

Nie wiem czy nawalił scenarzysta czy rysownik. Momentami nie miałem pojęcia co się dzieje na rysunkach. Ale ogólnie rzecz biorąc historia całkiem ciekawa i zakończona cliffhangerem.
