This adorable story follows Marygrace as she tries to find her true love- by reliving Christmas Eve over and over. Except in each Christmas Eve she is celebrating with a different ex- boyfriend.
This story was very sweet and was an interesting concept- reliving Christmas Eve over and over as if you had stayed with your exes? Really makes you think.
This book reminded me of the YA Christmas books I’ve read, but it was definitely not YA and featured some spice.
This book was sweet and I loved MaryGraces family and wish we spent more time with them in the story, I felt they were the best characters in the story.
The Christmas cheer was excellent in this book and I loved seeing Marygrace celebrate Christmas Eve in a variety of ways, depending on her ex.
Overall, I enjoyed the story but I don’t feel the need to read it over again every Christmas season like I do with my favorite Christmas books.

Won in a giveaway on GoodReads and sent to me by TheNovl (an advanced reader copy). It is to be published/released in late September.
The beginning was a little slow then book picked up speed. I was really enjoying it until boyfriend 4 & 5, it was just too much of the same thing. I knew what was going to happen by that point. I did like the last couple chapters as well.
The book could have been 50 pages shorter. There is SO much detail in places that don’t need to be there and I skimmed through parts of the book because of this.
The premise of different timelines to learn about yourself and your ex’s and what you want from life is a great storyline. I enjoyed Marygrace and Robbie and several other supporting characters.
It felt like a YA novel in places but definitely is not with the spice that is added throughout. Sweet moments and spicy moments throughout.
It was an enjoyable read but not a book I would read again.

After an encounter with a mysterious Uber driver and an icy fall, MaryGrace gets stuck in a Christmas Eve time-loop that takes her one year into the future where she wakes up with a different ex-boyfriend each time. Following her journey to find her true love and all the different scenarios made this a fun read with major holiday vibes.
Each ex and timeline offered its own story and the lessons she learned along the way were clearly expressed. However I I felt like there was no real connection to her character or her development. The whole timeline also felt off. It’s been 8 years since high school but I felt like all the characters were portrayed so much younger like they were only a year or 2 out of school

This was a cozy, humorous, cute little time loop Christmas story that gave me the vibes from that rom/com movie with Matthew McConaughey, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past.
Marygrace just wants to get her family off of her back at the holidays and take some of the pressure off. This is a staple in a lot of Christmas rom/com books and I will never understand adding that type of stress to the holidays BUT it does make for an entertaining read.

Merry Ex-Mas is a super cute take on a Christmas Eve time loop. There's a fantastic MC, lots of Christmas vibes, and just the right amount of spice to balance all the sweet holiday treats. It's so much fun.

I really liked the time loop element, but my favorite part of the story was her large family. The pressure to find a significant other, the chaotic family celebrations, and the delicious food felt so relatable. It reminded me of my own family and made me feel instantly connected.
I would definitely recommend adding this to your Christmas reading TBR!

This was such a fun and easy holiday read! I really liked the Christmas vibes, the romance, and the overall cozy feeling. But honestly, some parts were so frustrating, and a few of the characters’ decisions had me like… why?! The story was cute, but some things felt rushed and I wanted a little more depth. Still, it was entertaining.

A fun Christmas story with a slight fantasy element
This was a fun one! Upset to find herself single around the holidays, the main character Marygrace ends up in a time loop seeing how the future would play out with each of her exes after hearing that she has already met the love of her life.
I loved seeing how different each of the lives she lived were and I liked seeing Marygrace learn something about herself in each one as well.
I also loved the Filipino celebrations and foods featured. Marygrace is Filipina and comes from a large family. The family’s nochebuena celebration sounded so festive and fun.

A cute time loop holiday romance! Marygrace was exceptionally dense at times, but overall this was a fun read...just don't read it while hungry, because everything at her mother's Noche Buena party(ies) sounds absolutely delicious.
(You also might get Wham!'s "Last Christmas" stuck in your head on loop--you have been warned. At least it's not "I've Got You Babe," right? ;))
