Sydney doesn't know much about her real father, so she decides he must have been one of the Boomerangs, a popular Australian rock group. Much to her mother's dismay, Sydney tries to prove her theory by researching her "father's" background and including him in all her creative-writing assignments. This is a humorous look at a spunky fifteen-year-old who learns to believe in herself.
This book was a light hearted, whimsical story of a normal girl and her overactive imagination. It brought me back to a time where anything was possible if you just believe. No matter how cliche that sounds, that is a main idea in Sydney's mind. This story told of the trouble Syndey's overactive imagination got her into, and how she got out of it. In a way that surprised, she managed to get herself out of trouble, while still believing in the thing that caused a mess in the first place. She simply molded a solution. I would recommend this book to everyone who wants a light book to reminisce about a time where life was simple.
