Rate this book
In the dark realm of Shroudskull, the Summoners live for the ecstasy of pain. To know else is to know death.... They are the ultimate warriors. Trained from birth, they find pleasure only in pain. Even their gift, wrought on their bodies, is a testament to the limits of their endurance. Lady Angeline Delgado craves freedom, but the only way to gain it is to seduce her summoner guard, Shadowclaw, with something he has never known ... pleasure. Rating: Contains graphic sex, violence, explicit language, bondage, domination, submission, and material which could be offensive to sensitive readers.

Lady Angeline has been sold as a bride to Lord Sangrey. As she is being escorted to Sangrey's castle she has to endure being sadomized, tortured and bodypiercings by the Darkraider. She is then kidnapped by Lord Ysuroth's men. They leave her at Shroudskull until Lord Ysuroth can come for her. Shadowclaw who is also the Summoner intents to keep her save for his Lord. He has been trained since birth to be a fighting machine. He can also change into a mystical beast. He only knows pain, never has experienced pleasure or love. Lady Angeline is trying to seduce him with gentleness and trying to teach him compassion. She will try anything to escape. Whenever Shadowclaw catches her he punishes her with sensual torture. This is a very dark story. There are scenes of domination, bondage and forced seduction and rape. The ending had a suprising twist.

Way overboard with the cliched names (Shadowclaw? Shroudskull? puleeeeeeze) and the BDSM stuff turns me off (kinda the opposite of what it's supposed to do, I guess).
