Her young love for Connor Faraday had left her heartbroken. Although home designer Ellene Bordini had moved on, she'd never felt drawn to any other man — and never recovered from Connor's betrayal. Now, a decade later, Connor was back in her life…wanting her back in his life forever. Ellene's faith told her to forgive him and to accept the new man he'd become. While working in the brisk beauty of his Michigan island home, she rediscovered her lost love and bonded with the little girl he wanted to raise right. Was this God's mysterious way of helping Ellene deal with the past…or paving the way for reconciliation?

This is a faith based story about Ellene and Connor who were engaged and broke up and meet several years later. Their lives have changed since college and the story is about their personal changes and overcoming the past. It's a good story that includes forgiveness from God and each other, honesty and trust. I enjoyed this...some might say its just average but to me when God is involved, even in a novel, it's a gooder.

The reconnection of Connor and Ellene through her working on redesigning his house was sweet. I loved Caitlin as a character, and the six-year-old seemed true to life. Connor handled his daughter's tantrums well, and I like the connection Ellene had with the girl. However, the entire ending felt a bit rushed and forced.

I enjoyed reading a book where the main character was confronted with her ways of dealing with others and guided to ACT more Christian.

This was a sweet little romance. Connor and Ellene used to be engaged. They were young and both made some pretty big mistakes in the way they treated each other. It is now eight years later and they have a chance to get to know each other again.

I found these two characters to be likeable, yet also frustrating at times. They both carry a lot of hurt. They both made mistakes in the past. And they both have a hard time forgiving the other person for their shortcomings. In other words, they sure are human! Even the little girl in the story, Caitlin, was very human. She was fairly spoiled and needed some guidance and loving attention.

I enjoyed this story.

I like this book a lot which is about a single dad trying to raise his daughter and is back to have the girl whom he left hearth broken a decade ago to be permanently be in his life but because she has lost faith on him she can't express her feeling well but does so after being with him and his daughter. Its very inspiring specially that the message of this book is that love is merciless it always forgives and love.I recommend it to those who have problems in love and needs a little cheering up:)
