WTH?
What happened T. J. Michaels ?

I really wanted to like this story because the first one,
Carinian's Seeker, was good.
I would have given this book 4*Stars
IF it were not for the Ending. The ending messed it up for me.
I do not want to give too much away and spoil it for others but the ending was TOTALLY unexpected.

Tameth has been longing for Alaan for the longest time not entering any serious relationships whether it was conscious or subconciously on her part.
She has a 'special' friendship with Kanoe that has certain boundaries.
For years, Alaan has fought off the growing attraction towards Tameth due to his fear and guilt of his past.

Some people seem to like the ending, but to me
it seems like it was just thrown in there for added measures.

I was not expecting it,
I did not like it for "this" story, and
I think that it would have been better with a different ending.

Alaan's actins at the end were out of character
compared to the rest of the story.
Tameth seemed to have done a 360 as well.
She did not question Alaan's motives or behaviors which made no sense.

Maybe I am over thinking the story,
maybe the ending should not make any sense
even though it does not go with the rest of the story.. hmm

I feel as though I should not say anymore;
I repeat, I do not want to give the ending of it away.

All I know is,
I am not interested in Kanoe's story nor the rest of the series anymore.

Alaan and Tameth. I'd like to say this was a dnf, but I actually did waste my time finishing it. Although it was in skim mode for the second half. I hate books that spend too much time in the evil guy's head. There's a lot of that in this one, with plenty of distasteful 'evil guy sex'. ick. I really skimmed those parts. The characters are supposed to be elite kick ass agents but other than the ridiculous leather matrix-style outfits (chafe much?), I doubt they could find their arses with both hands. There is no intrigue. The action has no imagination. The bad guy is predictably evil for the sake of being evil. I honestly can't think of anything I did like about this book. There were so many ridiculous little asides to the story that were imho pointlessly gratuitous .
World building was almost non-existent. Characters were all similar and if not for the different names would have been interchangeable. Tameth is supposed to be this ultra kick ass agent, but you wouldn't know it by her actions and weak thought processes. Alaan was just an idiot. SOoooo disappointing. After pulling his head out of his arse 6 years too late, he couldn't even grovel well.

What a very hawt, hawt vampire-on-vampire romance. That in itself is unusual, no wanna be humans need apply. LOL

Alaan Serati is Acting Head Seeker of VOCE (Vampire Council of Ethics) and is having a hard time avoiding Tameth Serati-cole, his Second at VOCE. He is having "feelings" for her, when he had vowed never again to get involved with a female after his fiance was killed 6 years ago. All is confusion. She of course, knows he is her mate and cannot understand why Alaan is hot and then cold.

It all comes to a head when Kenoe decides to make Alaan jealous, amidst the mission to bring down the rouge Lowan Hatsept, Kenoe's half-brother.

This is my review and how I see it. Author T.J. Michaels Serati's Flame is an erotic story of one Seeker's determination to stay true to the promise he made to himself when the women he thought was his mate was murdered. He would not keep that promise, as the flame of lust, love and the mate bond grew strong for a fellow Seeker. Alaan fought hard against the attraction he was feeling towards Tameth, however, the mate bond had other ideas. As Alaan and Tameth worked through what was happening with them a ghost of lovers past threatens their growing bond leaving Tameth to doubt what they are building together.

Will Tameth get the vampire with the Barry White voice?

This is my review and how I see it.

Girls just wanna have fun

There's an attraction between Alaan and Tameth that is so off the charts it confuses the hell out of them. So when they have to go track down a bunch of rogues they have trouble turning it off. When it finally dawns on them what is happening between them, they are in full mission mode.

I thought this was a great read. A fast paced sexy book it definitely keeps you hot and bothered. starting Hatsept Heat today!

I really enjoyed Serati's Flame as I did Carinian's Seeker. Mrs. Michaels did a great job once again. Alaan is a powerful sexy vampire, and Bix's 2nd in command. With Bix away with his mate Alaan is in charge. Having Tameth as his 2nd was not ideal. He has mixed emotions for Tam from lust to annoyance & doesn't really understand why. Still dealing with the death of his mate 6 years ago doesn't make it any easier to handle his feelings for Tameth. When the mission to kill the Rouge Vampire who killed his mate comes along he is ready to rumble, but Tam is quickly proving to be a dangerous distraction in more ways than one. I recommend this book especially if you have read the first book.

Not every book gets five star rating but I'm loving this series! Thsi was a bit of a different feel to it than the first, maybe it is not as urban for me, but equally enticing! Nothing wrong with the cat and mouse game going on between the two main characters...keeps the reader interested. I also like how the storyline builds up the relationships established in the first book.

This is not an IR, but I've put it here because my favorite IR couple from the book prior to this -Carinian's Seeker- is mentioned quite a bit.
