Brenda Jackson has launched the Mother Nature Matchmaker with a tempting couple who are both stubborn but also passionate about their desires in life.
Sherri Griffin is a successful radio producer looking to take over her uncle radio station when the time arrives but after being jolted in a relationship, Sherri has sworn off men temporarily but have also sworn off men who have no promise for the future or no promise of commitment.
Terrance Jefferies aka Holy Terror on the football team has been known to be a stubborn person who always got what he wanted no matter what and it just so happens Terrance wants Sherri and she’s throwing up blocks left and right because she’s not willing to get her feelings hurt again. Terrance is not willing to stop pursing her until he figures out why he has this desire to be with her.
When a hurricane leaves the two of them stuck at the radio station together holding down the weather reports and other important aspects that come with working in the media the two find their selves tasting the limits of keeping their hands to their selves. Sherri finds out some rather interesting information about Terrance that sets her off again and Terrance can do nothing but force his way back into her heart.

I really enjoyed reading this story about Terrance and Sherri. I waited a long time and it didn't disappoint me. This is a love a first sight read. While a hurricane is raging out side the love and attraction between Terrance and Sherri is raging on the inside. (Radio Station Wow!!!. It was fun hot read. the way the book was written put me right there with them. I still wanted more of them. Great Job Brenda!!!.

Maybe it's just me, but I have a hard time getting through a book where the man who lives by a rule to never be married or fall in love, and is only interested in a casual affair agressively pursues a woman who has repeatedly says no to his pursuit of her. No to dates. No to an affair. And even goes as far to say she is looking for marriage and they don't have the same expectations, so no. But this man has a hard on for her and isn't used to hearing no, so he persists with a total lack of respect for what the woman wants. NO means NO.
As far as I'm concerned it really doesn't matter what occurs after he eventually breaks down her defenses against him. But for the record, he continues to dismiss her wishes, and aggressively pursue what he wants. This man is selfish and has no respect for women. I had to stop listening about halfway through it. It's possible a better writer would have been able to tell this story in a way that was less offensive, but as written, no thank you.

Nice love story. Sherri Griffin did not believe in having affairs but wanted a lasting relationship that ended in marriage. Terrence Jefferies didn't believe in marriage because his mom left his dad when he was 10 years old and never remarried because he had to raise three children. Terrence was attracted to Sherri the moment he saw her and she was attracted to him as soon as she saw him. They continued to play the cat and mouse game until finally she gave in and told him she would give him one night. After that night Terrence wanted more because he realized he was in love with her.

Author Brenda Jackson has a short steamy story set in the Florida Keys with a hurricane headed their way. Terrence and Sherri are a great couple once Sherri realizes that her heart has already fallen for Terrence. It is her head that needs to catch up. I hope there is or will be more to this story, I need to know how everything turns out after the hurricane.
I have to get book 2 to find out what happens with this couple. This is a great story and I can't wait for more.

Besides the series listed, this seems to be a spin-off of Jackson's, Westmoreland series. Sherri Griffin is the assistant manager of her uncle's radio station in the Florida Keys, and is working on blocking her attraction to Terrance - Holy Terror - Jeffries, the host of the Holy Terror sports call in show on the station. Terrance is all about the hunt, seduction, getting what he wants, and walking away. Sherri wants more - romance, marriage, children. Guess who wins!

Temperatures Rising (Jeffries #2) was a good read by Brenda Jackson. Sherri Griffin is a successful radio producer who has had to weather all different kinds of storms. Nothing would have prepared her for DJ Terrence Jeffries. They both find themselves stranded together during a hurricane hitting the Keys. I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read more by the author.

Terrance had a thing for Sherri since the moment he met her. He thought he just needed to scratch an itch. She was avoiding him but finally decided to give in and go out with him. The sparks were instant. Terrance was in for more than he bargained for. A hurricane brings them together and they have to face how they really feel about each other.

Too short.....wanted more!!
Not to "deep" Terrence is rich and an ex-football player Who is attracted to Sherri....She's been cheated on before by a previous lover....and so it begins. Enjoyable wanted more.

Florida Keys and a hurricane. Terrance has a sports segment and Sherri helps run the station. He does not believe in love till he meets Sherri and can not stop thinking about her.

Terrance Jefferies was first introduced to us in Tall, Dark Westmoreland as Oliva's older brother. Fine as he wants to be! Terrance, The Holy Terror, is holding down Key West Florida! Former professional football player, radio talk show host and night club owner. What woman wouldn't jump at the chance to have him? Well, Sherri Griffin wants nothing to interfere with her career in radio management.
I connected with this story because I have worked in radio and could easily relate professionally.
A different twist for Ms Jackson's male character. A devout bachelor realizes early on that he has fallen for the woman. He needs no convincing, but must convince her to let go of her past and trust him with her future.
The side story in this novel is the weather unlike most Jackson tales that involve a mystery sideline.

Opposites definitely attract. Sherri the ever professional girl has met her match with the charismatic Terrance. Office romances tend to be complex and Sherri and Terrance's relationship is not an exception. Thank goodness for Kim and her encouraging Sherri to live in the present. It is those words that let Sherri knew that she was worth having it all. Terrance learned never say never. When love hits you. It does so like a ton of bricks. Nice romance with great setting along the Keys. Thanks Hurricane Ana for bridging the gap for Sherri and Terrance to see they were just right for each other.

Terrence Jeffries, better known as "The Holy Terror" had a reputation that preceded him for being Key West's bad boy. He met and obsessed over Sherri Griffin and didn't realize his obsession would turn from lust to true love. They had a few kinks in the road, but nothing could keep these lovers apart...not even Hurricane Ana! Great love story!

I really enjoyed reading Temperatures Rising. I loved the story line, the characters, and the hot and steamy love scenes. Brenda Jackson has done it again and I can't wait to read about the next Jeffries hunk.
