Matteo Bittanti (Milano, 1975) is an Italian artist, writer, curator, publisher, translator, and scholar. Lives in Milano and San Francisco.
His artistic practice lies at the intersection of video games, toys, cinema, and the web; while his academic research focuses on the cultural, social, and theoretical aspects of emerging technologies, with an emphasis on their effects on communication, visual culture, and the arts. He's particularly interested in new media art, especially Game Art: his approach is interdisciplinary, connecting media studies, game studies, visual studies, and art history.
