World-shaking mysteries? Secretive aristocrats? Shapeshifting dragons? All in a day's work for Harper's Harriers!
Six months have blown by since Locke was reborn in another world with his hot new body, magic powers, and a giant mech called a Titan. In that time, word has spread that he's a new void mage-the rarest mage type-and now every woman he meets wants a piece of him. But only the voluptuous ladies of the airship Blue Heron can claim his heart (and ... the rest of him).
They'll need all of him to take on their next bounty, for it promises to test their skills to their limits. A once-simple drake-hunting job has now turned into a dragon-hunting job- but there's more to this bounty than meets the eye. Something has twisted the dragon, Ultranoth the Organized, from a reclusive collector to a rampaging winged terror, and that "something" might just be the same thing that caused the downfall of civilization a thousand years ago.
It's a job that only Locke and his crew are qualified to take ... especially since his crew includes Chief Engineer Bexley. Or, as she's more formally known, Lady Beaunessia Valerie Brimble Morton, prodigal (and proud of it) daughter of the distinguished Morton family-and childhood friend to Ultranoth.
But will Bexley be able to reach her scaly friend? And if not, what then? Will their two Titans be enough to bring down a dragon?
Or is it finally time for their third Titan to enter the fray?
WARNING: Titan Mage Dragon is a fun fantasy adventure containing steam both punk and smutty: sexy mechanics, sensuous airship captains, racy mech pilots, curious catgirls, and saucy language to match. (So don't read it and then complain about the spice. Y'all know exactly what you're getting into.)
The Titan Mage series has been great from Book 1, a Shake'n Bake mixture of anime-like action, fantasy, and geeky humor. Dragon takes that recipe and adds in a pinch of Pride and Prejudice, a dash of Bridgerton, and beautifully hefty wallop of Dragon. Dragon brings me back to why I became an instant fan of these books, a wild and crazy world of magic and mechs, with characters that continue to develop and surprise. Building upon her already bonkers world, Edie Skye takes our crew into the countryside to put an end to an ongoing threat that's just become exponentially more so.
Disclaimer: The Titan Mage series is over-the-top and smutty, with graphically explicit sex scenes scattered through the book. If that's not your tea–actually, this is Book 3, if you're still oblivious to this aspect of the series, you're looking for issues.
I just finished the Ultimate Supreme Hyper-Mega edition of Titan Mage and this is my totally original and not plagiarized at all, review.
When in the course of human events it becomes necessary to dissolve the physical bonds that connects one with their home universe and to assume the powers of Titan Magery sufficient to defend a totally different universe and live on a ship with five hot women who all really appreciate his new body.
We hold the truth, that this is some kind of "Harem story" to be self evident, and that the male protagonist was not created equally, that they were endowed with impressive "attributes" by the imagination of someone with hair that is most likely purple.
I wasn't completely sure what to expect, as I had never read a Harem Fantasy before, but being "not dumb" and also knowing the meaning of lots of words, had a pretty good idea of what I was going to read. (Side note: I'm not exactly a prude, but I am definitely a happily married monogamist who is uncomfortable with the whole "Harem" thing.) That said, I did skip through the "Haremy" parts of the story, although I'm certain they were as well written as the rest of the book(s) were.
All the "Haremy" stuff aside, this was an incredibly well written and enjoyable series to read. The story moved along at a good pace and I cared about what happened to the characters. Some reviews said this was predictable, but to them I say "all well-written stories are predictable because the author can't very well just kill off all of their main characters randomly, you numpty." The trope of this book requires that the main character becomes very powerful and ultimately wins, because how pissed off would everyone be if the bad guy ultimately won?" The only thing that matters is if you enjoyed the story along way, and I did. Is it Anna Karenina? No. Of course, it never tried to be. In fact, I would say it is the least "Anna Kareninay" book I have ever read and it takes not being Anna Karenina to new and wonderful heights. Furthermore, it is also not Great Expectations, but if you have great expectations when you start you will not be disappointed. (Provided you're not a numpty with unrealistic great expectations.)
What is not to love about giant robots stomping around killing stuff? Nothing. Nothing at all.
If I were pressed to find a fault, it would be that there are no tacos, but they do have great brisket so I figure that eventually someone there will figure it out and become the most powerful person on the planet.
I recommend you give this series a try and if, like me, you're not into the whole "Harem" thing, use your fingers and just turn the pages until those sections are done. I submit that is what fingers were made for.
I enjoyed this book. And I enjoyed the continuing plot line. There's always something new and that's always exciting in a series. All the secondary characters are unique and a lot of fun. The author has done well to continuously bring new characters in to add Some more depth to the story. The only problem I have is with the magic itself. It's a bit too nebulous. I'm not expecting RPG stats maybe something closer to cultivation. Some way for the reader to understand how the power grows and is acquired and even used And manipulated. There are references to spells As of yet the MC who is one of the most powerful mages Has nothing like spells. Only Drawing various energies from his catalyst. And worse yet he asked to use external devices to do it. Hopefully something he can overcome in the future. Currently he is not really a maid he's just a power conduit for various energy that he can conduct. Hopefully something future books can handle. In the mean time I wait the next.
At my request I received a copy of this audiobook in order to give a fair and unbiased review.
Genre: Isekai progression sci-fi Harem with mercenary magician mechs
Power dynamics in harem: Girl in Harem is boss, girls desire MC Explicit/adult material: Explicit and good.
Summary: Bexley's family are having dragon problems. Ultranoth the Organized is not doing her part of the mutual agreement that has existed for centuries between the dragon and the family. Locke and the girls will have to step in.
Narrators Voice diversity: The voices are diverse and recognizable Pacing and intonation: The story is told engagingly and carries you away Sex scenes: Well done.
Overall: 4.5 / 5 stars.
The book’s strengths. - The titans are cool. Who doesn't love a mech - The Enemies are well written and I like the personality of them showing - The rivalry with Nigel and their back and forth was fun - The narration
The book’s weaknesses. - No weaknesses come to mind. I look forward to the next instalment in the series.
I know, it's been a while since I revisited this series. Trust me, it's been hanging over my head all these months. But I'm back to it!
There were a lot of things to enjoy about this book. I was amused by the idea that these ladies would be all swoony and fangirly over "polite romances." It's almost like deep emotional connection and actual yearning in a romance is just as desirable as bumping uglies! Which, I think Edie Skye does a lovely job of creating solid romantic relationships in a sexy harem story (my sarcasm is directed at some corners of romance fandom that continually prioritizes one over the other).
Anyway, another fun sci-fi adventure with lots of heart, and it seems like the stakes are increasing even more than in previous installments. On to the next one!
(people actually put this in their "Steampunk" tag? How??)
Well, another chapter in the tale of Locke done. How was it? Pretty good.
Was there some... potential issues? Perhaps.
A running gag involving period romance movies/ books was a fun bit, though some might feel a bit that goes out of control and bleeds into the main plot. The amount of silly was a bit much. While it doesn't devolve the story down to a porn plot level from the web it does downgrade the level closer to higher budget level like Pirates.
That aside, characters were fun, more depth on other characters besides the MC which is always good in my book. Smut was nicely done.
Overall I'm eagerly anticipating the next volume in the story. Well done.
This is why these serial epics are SO frustrating - when an author is onto a truly epic yarn, it’s so difficult to halt the journey to wait for the next installment. Yet, I suppose that’s what passes as the mark of a successful author in this space.
Author Skye has formed a story epic in proportion, and the style in which its laid out is rather exquisite. Honestly, I’ve taken hook, line, and sinker with this tale, it’s that good. Bravo, Author Edie Skye! I eagerly look forward to the next installment of this yarn, and wish you well and Godspeed in its completion and release.
Life reborn in an alternate world with a combination of magic and technology? Combat performed in the cockpit of giant mechs powered by magic and capable of shaping it to the casters will? And now Dragons and secrets of the old world being dragged into the light?!
Simply attention grabbing and so engrossing I couldn't stop reading until I finished and even then didn't want it to end.
This has quickly become one of my favourite series to read and I'm eagerly anticipating the next release!
Locke and the crew of the Blue heron take on a real life dragon. When brute force doesn’t help, Locke tries to seduce the dragon to gain victory in this fight.
Meanwhile Bexley‘s origin comes to light and a suitor of her steps out of the shadows to chase her heart.
And what’s with Sloan, how is cat doing the cooking and the dishes?
Some of the arcs are being revealed and provide a piece to the bigger picture of the series. There are reveals that are no surprises at all, and some got me to laugh out loud. It keeps the series interesting enough to get me read the fourth book of it.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Edie Skye continues to put out banger after banger!
I'm not a huge harem person but Edie has mastered the art of what I would call respectful harem. In every spicy scene everyone is consenting to what's going on and that really helps the genre.
Locke and the girls are up to their usual antics so if you liked the other two you know what you're in for.
Third book in this series and it keeps getting better. The plot, characters, sex scenes and attention to Bexley's character was great. The only thing that I still had trouble following was the mechanics on how to get new powers.
Now I'm not a fan of excessive stakes, and this series is being to suffer that, there is a major threat posing risk to the entire world, it's just a bit much. But other than that the book is great, it's steamy, it's got more cool robot fights and more fun characters, I still recommend it.
A wonderful, fun fantasy science fiction story!! That has been blended perfectly for our enjoyment!!! The author has designed a amazing world full of interesting characters and fantastic fantasy adventure and activities!!!!
The Mc us more settled into the world and exploring things about it. Enjoyed finally seeing more of the mysterious Sloan, really enjoyed her character. Loved meeting the Dragon and the growth if his relationships with the women he is with. Can't wait for the next book.
Very good read, wish it would have been longer, keep up the good work, but as they say if work is fun then it's not work but a very lucky person with a paying hobby.
I really enjoyed reading this book. It was fun and entertaining. The story and characters were incredibly interesting and engaging. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next. This book and series is definitely worth checking out.
I have enjoyed the series up to this point he keeps broadening each character and fleshing out the story as it grows I am looking forward to the next book
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it's definitely a worthy addition to the series. It lacked any sort of "last time in Titan Mage" into, but had enough of a refresher on relevant people/places/events that it was easy to get back into. It strikes a good balance between story and spicy scenes. We learn more about Bexley, and start making use of Titan Deathly Rhythm. It has plenty of funny moments, and raises some interesting questions for future books. I look forward to the next book.
On the good ship Blue Heron, Locke is now co-captain and co-owner and life is steamy. Their resident chef/cat has a whole range of talent that has nothing to do with cooking, plenty to do with the bedroom, and even more to do with the Titans. Dreg-fall from the Crystal Moon always spells trouble and new bounties but rumors of dreg dragons need to be investigated and either disproved or battled with Titan Mages.
This series offers enough battles, humor, and steamy scenes to satisfy any space fantasy harem fan. I am quickly becoming an ardent Edie Skye fan. I received a free advance copy but my review is honest and voluntary.
