Ugh...I got through it but at times I questioned the plot development. There was so much more that could have been done with this story, it just seemed to be missing something. I am happy to have said that I read it, because several of my friends have and it would make for some great conversations. But, it wasn't as scary as I thought it would be. All and all - book buyers beware, over look this one and go on to something else.

Eric's first work and still my favorite to date. The text is raw, but the story is phenomenal.

I've read this book a half dozen times at least, and I love it more each time I read it. I'm a fan of horror novels, but often find that, when I pick them up, they don't appeal to me. This one did, on many levels.

The premise behind it was original, and it kept me guessing until the end. The murders, the psychological torture of the police officers investigating the case- I couldn't get enough. I haven't picked up anything else from this author yet, merely because I was trying to find paperbacks in my local bookstore and couldn't find any, but I will be downloading the rest of the author's work to my Kindle as soon as the new one arrives.

For anyone who enjoys the work of Stephen King, I recommend this novel highly.
