Sigh. I wanted to like this a lot but it wound up being just ok.
The dialogue got just silly, especially during the love scenes. I for one love dirty talk in a romance novel but it just felt forced and was lacking emotion.
The storyline itself was interesting but the romance was thin and not as focused as I'd like. In fact, the author seemed to spend more words on the cartoonish villain and his machinations.
