The Alpha Games, the Mother, and Fate have led me to this moment, but my fate is my own to decide.
The blood vow saved my fellow shifters from danger, but only if I uphold my end of the bargain. I must give the Graystone Coven my mother's Moonstone or they will destroy those I love.
As I struggle to give the sorcerers what they want, I learn there is so much more at stake than my fellow shifters' lives.
Rebels have been fighting the magical race, resisting their desire to control them with forbidden Dark Magic. If Graystone gets his hands on the Moonstone, the entire world will be at his mercy.
So, I must choose -- the safety of my loved ones or the lives of thousands of innocents.
It should be an easy decision, but nothing about this is easy.
Shifting Magic is the final installment in the Alpha Games Trilogy.

This trilogy had me invested from book one, there was never a dull moment throughout. This was a new author for me but I'm glad I read this and it won't be the last I read of hers. I loved Blair she's such a strong presence throughout but she's not afraid to ask for help when needed and Asher is a perfect leading man I always love a shifter who is growly to everyone but his leading lady ♡
Finding herself in the clutches of the one place she was hiding from was not part of the plan but Blair refused to sacrifice anyone else's life for her own and so she handed herself over to Hugh under a blood oath that she not be harmed. But Hugh is cunning and knew ways in which to find loopholes in the oath using it to his advantage. Blair wasn't prepared to find she had Allies within the coven and that not everyone followed Hugh, more surprising was learning of a rebellion rising in the shadows to end the Graystone reign once and for all, knowledge of Blairs existence had reached far and wide giving people hope for the mere fact the moonstone lived on even if she couldn't fully access her powers. But with Hugh weaving his web of lies it was only a matter of time before he managed to get what he wanted, control of Blair and the moonstone she possessed but with the Rebellion continuing to grow in numbers it was only a matter of time before everything came to a head, the only question remained would Blair figure out a way to stop Hugh using the power inside her for his own benefit or would she be forced against her will to turn on those she loved and used as weapon no one saw coming.
I have read a couple of standalones of author Samantha Britt, but this is the first series I have tackled. Honestly I am amazed ae stot the ongoing quality of the storyline throughout this series. Often a series can start out strong but can slowly unravel as the author tries to keepe the quality and momentum up but author Samantha Britt certainly doesn't suffer from keeping the fast paced action, mystery and descriptive suspense. Blair has been preparing to become the next alpha of the Silver ...pack but as often happens, fate stepped in and changed the path she had always planned on taking. Suddenly her life took a 180° turn around when she learned about what really happened to her mother to cause her death, but the biggest shock had been to find out that she was a hybrid part shifter and part sorceress. Suddenly Blair was being hunted for the power her mother had passed in to her with her death and needless to say Blair did not like the changes and choices being made on her behalf. Her fated mate Asher was the alpha of the Wilds pack in Alaska who also had their own special talents, but Asher was happy to be beside Blair no matter where she went. Finding herself coveted by a number of sorcerers, Blair is kidnapped, attacked and threatened with everyone she loved being killed if she didn't follow what the evil sorcerer High wanted. Hugh was a power hungry sorcerer and was determined to have Blair for himself to try and take her power from her. So as you can imagine Blair finds herself having to make choices to keep Hugh happy so her family and mate were safe. This whole series is absolutely stunning in its details with the depth of detail to the complex situation involving magic and it's power Ms Samantha Britt has definitely out done herself with how far she actually takes the lives of her characters into the heart stopping situations she has cleverly created to keep us wanting to not put the book down as we get caught up with everything that happens within Blaires life and to those around her it's impossible to not be totally fascinated with how the dangerous situation Blair finds herself in could ever be solved. There is an amazing twist towards the end of the book that you never see coming, but with the complex events Blair causes or finds herself in she makes decisions that most people couldn't possibly do, so I have to say putting the book down was absolutely impossible so I read the series over a few days and was determined amazed at how she brought about the results that she did. If you enjoy paranormal romance with depth and endless possibilities then this series will definitely grab you, impossible to put down.
The final book in this PNR series keeps readers on edge as its characters face impossible odds and fight for their happy endings. Pulling lore and characters from the rest of the series, the author expertly weaves any loose ends together for a satisfying finale that is captivating to read. The suspense and continuous question of "but how can they pull this win off?" keeps tensions high and pages turning.
Where the first was focused on setting up the plot as a whole, and the second focused on character relationships and inner change, this third book is a mix of both; fulfilling character-arcs in time to face the horror of the big bad. It's full of mysterious intrigue, high-stakes anticipation, a good amount of action, and sweet romances that balance out the heaviness of the plot.
Shifting Magic is the third and final book in The Alpha Games and I have to say, wow, what an amazing conclusion to the series.
Like the two books before it, I found myself completely sucked into the story and Blair’s plight to break free of the blood vow, stop a sadistic dictator, save her people, and reunite with her fated mate. The stakes are higher then ever, with danger and deception around every corner, leaving her caught in a mess of who she can and can’t trust.
This book truly had a little bit of everything to keep me flipping the pages: twists and turns, revelations, a heartbreaking jaw-drop, powerful magic, and fated mates who would take on the world for each other.
I can’t wait to read whatever Ms. Britt writes next.
The conclusion to the Alpha Games series What a great story and eveything was wrapped up nicely. I was sad to see it end... The book was a roller coaster of twists some I didn't see coming. When reading a book you can sometimes know what will happen next but not with Samantha Britt's books. She always keeps you guessing.
The author's writing is amazing so much so that you don't want to put the book down once you start. This was the case with Shifting Magic...I didn't want to put it down but I did once when it was late and I couldn't keep my eyes open. I loved everything about this book and series. It's one you don't want to miss!
Highly recommend if you like shifter/paranormal books.
Oh my goodness. I don’t think I could have been happier than finishing this book. This final stage has been absolutely phenomenal! Don’t get me wrong- there’s so much dark but at the end, there’s always light. There’s beauty and magic and love. And that’s what counts. It took a village- or multiple races- coming together to bring peace. And man it’s gorgeous. And I got my wish!!! Several actually! That last chapter made everything perfect. I gotta say, this author has become a must have with this series. So Blair and Asher will hopefully pop up in a few places in the future as I’d love to see how all the changes play out. Well done!!
I have loved this series so much. I'm sad to see it end but loved how it all wrapped up. Blair really went through it in this one, and I was impressed with how she stepped up. She had to make some tough choices in this, and she never acted the way I expected. It was such a fun ride. And I really enjoyed seeing how Blair and Asher's relationship evolved. All my favorite characters were brought together again, and I loved where they ended up. While I'm sad for this to end, it's going to be so much fun to be able to re-read the whole series from start to finish.
Fantastic ending tot he series with twists I did not see coming. I was a tad annoyed at Blair's personal growth for a bit but she turns it all around in the end - I always feel that if a book can emit such emotions from me then it is a good read. Shifters, vampires and sorcerers come together to make this an exciting ending. I am sad to see it end but looking forward to seeing what this author brings us next
The 3rd book in the trilogy was great. Twists I didn't expect. Like the other 2 books I was drawn in and couldn't let go. If you like paranormal this is an awesome quick read. Full of battles, love and twists that will surprise you. I hated to have it end but it was a happy end. Blair and Asher are great. And the side characters helped make the story perfect.
Only read this series if you’re prepared to stayed up all night, all morning to finish it, because putting it down for even a bathroom break will be impossible!!! Well written, packed actions, romance, the chemistry are off the charts, definitely worth the no sleep red eyes 👀
I really wanted to love this final book but I just wasn't as invested. Like the first two books there was a bit of everything and twists are always(in my opinion) loved in a storyline! Overall I liked it but didn't LOVE it, I'm happy with the ending and Samantha Britt is still one of my favorite authors!
I'd like to thank the author for this ARC and I'm giving my honest review without spoilers
This 3rd book has been so awesome! So much suspense and action! Loved all the new characters - everyone was fighting on the sane team and it was nice to see all of them come together. The ending was perfect, a happy ending is always my favorite.
A fitting end to the series, but with some twists I didn't see coming. Blending sorcerers and shifters and vampires made for an eventful story. Love wins in the end but not without some sorrow as well.
Still a good series but i liked book 1 and 2 better i guess because of the setting and stuff. I did really enjoy this series and the storyline is good with a good ending, not an open 1 or stuff like that. Everything is clear at the end
This one wasn't my favorite. Blair and Asher were apart for a fair amount. I actually skipped from 50% to the end because I was a bit bored. I also didn't particularly enjoy how things wrapped up. I'm going to leave this unrated since I skipped a bunch, but for me it was probably a 2 star.
