DNF at 60% - lots of basic information that might be helpful for some, but just fell flat for me.

I found myself relating to this book as if it were written just for me. It's short, only 165 pages, so a busy mom can easily read it in a short period of time. (They had busy moms in mind when they wrote it!). The information in the book is Scripturally sound, practical, and non-judgmental. The book's main focus is making the most of each moment with our children instead of wishing they were more independent or that our lives have moved on to the next phase. What mother has not wished precious moments away because of the frustration those moments bring? The authors totally get this and address it with compassion, even sharing some of their own parenting mishaps and poor choices. I love how each chapter ends with some hard-hitting questions and some very practical and simple tips to improve our ability to stay in the moment with our children and to see those moments as "divine appointments, not interruptions." Highly recommend this book to any mom who is struggling to understand her purpose or finding it difficult to enjoy the many ups and downs of motherhood.
