Cute non-fiction children's picture book about spiders. On one page it will have a violin and then the other will show what a violin spider looks like. It compares what object the spider is named after with the spider. Simple text and good pictures of the actual object.
Was disappointed to find it is just a picture with the spider's name and a picture of a similar object. Not a stand-alone reading book. More of a conversation starter about why/how the spider may have gotten its name. In the back of the book there are more facts about spiders but most of that would be over the head of the child reading an early reader book that has a picture and a single name under the photograph. It would have been better to incorporate the extra material on the page with the spider and its name.
