I thought this book started off slow but, got better with each chapter. The characters were good and I liked the family part of the togetherness.

I liked how it was set in present day. This author seems to tend toward historical fiction, so I'm glad it's something modern, that I can somewhat relate to the book's storyline.

I also liked how it had characters involved with drugs. Not many fictional books deal with that topic. As a society, we hear a lot a bout drugs, and with due reason - it's more common than we would like to admit. There are reasons why topics like drugs are a standing issue.

Anyway, back to the book? I enjoyed the writing style, it's a believable story, will most likely re-read this book again at some point in the the future. This book is the only one I've kept by this author.

I’ve read this book at least six times and still can’t get over what happens, the romance is so spontaneous and dreamlike but so realistic about how consequential that love can be and teach so much.

The hardships of being together with someone you’re not familiar with and trying to accept their pasts and helping them deal with demons.

It’s just a gorgeous book in general and I’m in love with the writing plus I took the spiritual side of it as I wanted.

I believe this is the first book I read by this author many years ago. I have a hankering to re-read it because I remember enjoying it quite a bit.
