The days of Susannah Everly dreaming about white dresses, churches and Trent Maxwell are long gone. So it's more than a little funny that she finds herself actually married to the guy. But she's determined to save the family ranch by any means possible, and if Trent is those means…
Still, they both know the deal. This is a business arrangement and there are rules. Rules that do not include rekindling those old feelings or surprise midnight seductions. So what's Susannah to do when Trent seems determined to break their agreement? Especially when what he offers is way too tempting.

A true Cancer, she values home and family above everything and wouldn't dream of ditching a single friend, memory, gift, or love letter. She is addicted to Mozart and Elvis, Dancing With the Stars, Dorothy Dunnett novels, and sugar-free Popsicles.
hhmm what to say it was a okay read,a cheating romance and i did'nt liked the hero-heroin for few things
Sussanah a head strong heroin but she holds onto the past for a long time,i know she loved Trent so much and her world revolved around Trent and when Trent cheated on her,her worlds, her dreams all shattered and she witnessed the whole scene, the fact that she did'nt uttered a word just left made her more bitter i guess and she keeps turning Hot-Cold in the story
Trent Maxwell i hated this man on 3 occasions here are they -i can understand he was 19 and when Missy seduced him according to him ,his hormones tookover n he ended up having sex with her on the swing,he was guilty n angry with himself but just cause Sussanah did't forgive him even after 11 years he is calling her heartless Bitch, cold n cruel, nope i could'nt take it and second place where i hated though he is a married man now and Susannah does'nt sleeps with him and when Missy calls him to catch on old times he politely refuses saying now he is married but Just only cause Sussanah gave him cold looks n was angry cause Missy called,he is once again tempted to call back n take whtever she offers(hated him ewwwww) third one is where he flirts with other hot woman but backs out
Also he feels all sympathy n piti for Missy whereas for Susannah he is angry for not forgiving him wanted to hit him with something
obviously Sussanah forgives him in the end but still i have my doubts it was okay read read on ur own risk
I'm still formulating my thoughts about this one. I generally enjoy the reunited lovers plot line, but this couple was bitter and angry.
The heroine especially rubbed me wrong. She did her level best to treat the hero like shit, then complained when he didn't fall all over her.
Having said that, I didn't read any of the previous books in this series and I get the impression I missed a lot of backstory. It could be my impressions would be different if I read the previous books. I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to do that.
A peach farmer marries a neighboring rancher for convenience--but they are also ex-lovers haunted by betrayal and past tragedy. Well-written and with some interesting secondary characters; would have been better if the heroine wasn't such a b*tch.
