I teach a homeschooled 8th grader writing and this book was in her curriculum. Her mom wanted her to read it and write about it. I read it myself after hearing her review. I was flabbergasted all the way through. As a 14-year-old in 2017, she could barely relate to this book. Talk about setting teens up for failure with such extreme views. For example, you shouldn't watch TV or movies together, but should check out Cat in the Hat and do a dramatic reading. You've got to be kidding me. Statistics tell us that approximately 88% of young people between the ages of 18-25 have had sex, and 80% of Christian young adults have had sex. We have to find a better way to set Christian teens up for success.

Excellent thought-provoking and clarifying questions.

If you are interested in clarifying your thoughts on male/female relationships and aligning your thoughts with biblical standards, this is THE book to help.

Whether you agree or disagree with the author, you will be presented with forceful arguments for a particular viewpoint and then challenged to think through the issues for yourself from a biblical perspective. Even if you vehemently disagree with John's stance(s) (and many do, at least at first), do yourself the favor of reading the questions at the end of each section and answer them. You'll find that your thinking will be clarified.

The real strength of this book is found in the questions it presents.

Well...this book was good. In fact, I really liked it...up until the end. I can't eplain it. I agree with just about everything he says...yet something doesn't sit right
