Can a jilted cowboy find true love when his cowgirl keeps one foot out the door?
Abby Buchanan enjoys her job as a rep for her family’s fencing company, traveling to different locations and meeting interesting people. But the pressure is on during this trip to the small town of King Creek, Arizona. Her father and the employees she’s known all her life are depending on her to bring in enough business to save the struggling company. When she meets sexy rancher, and potential client, Brady McLeod, she never expects to fall for a man rooted to his land.
Brady is intrigued by the leggy redhead and can’t get her out of his head. He finds any excuse to spend time with her even though her desire to travel for a living reminds him of the woman who left him at the altar. When the bed and breakfast she’s been staying at burns down, he offers her a room on his ranch.
What starts out as a short-term stay, evolves into something much more.
Tragedy strikes and Abby turns her back on what might have been with Brady. Now it’s up to him to prove they can still be together and that she needs him as much as he needs her.

Brady had been jilted on his wedding day - left at the altar. Abby enjoys working as a rep for her family's fencing company. She travels to Arizona in the hope of bringing enough business to save the struggling company. She meets up with Brady, a potential client. Brady falls heavily for Abby. A lovely story. Enjoyable read. Loved it! 5☆
Slightly better. Abby comes from a big family she’s a rep for her family’s business, she meets Brady, a handsome cowboy, who intrigues her to no end, he’s hot, best of all he can sing.. she’s not looking for a relationship, but sparks fly.
As they become better acquainted, we see how lonely Abby is, and how she would love to settle down with Brady but she has family commitments.
When there’s an accident involving a car and a Bull… Abby stays with Brady…. The accident I wasn’t impressed with since the last book had something similar going on. It was almost like the author couldn’t find another way to keep them together and just re wrote the same thing.
I said it was slightly better, the spice is still eh….. I have read better… on a whole I did enjoy this one, even if it was repetitive.
I do love to sit and fully absorb a good country love story. Brady and Abby's chemistry with each other and how their connection evolved effortlessly and so naturally was beautifully depicted in this book. The book was written at the right tempo and truly they were a match made in heaven! I loved Brady's family who were so united in every possible way. I learnt to love both spunky Haylee and gentle Emma's characters too. Enjoyed every chapter thoroughly!
Such an incredible and well written story with characters you can't help but adore. Brady is a rancher who has been scorned at the alter before so he decides to put love on a back burner and just focus on getting his ranch set up the way he likes. One day while out working on the ranch he gets an unexpected traveling sales rep for a fencing company, Abby Buchanan. Brady is stunned at her beauty and knowledge of the ranching business. I found this story too sweet to put down.
If you want hot Cowboys and the women who fall in love with them you will enjoy this book! The Author has done a great job of drawing you into her books about the story of the family in her books. I would recommend her books to anyone who loves the West and the lives of those who live there. Looking forward to reading more from this Author!
I enjoyed this book. It was fun. Brady was left at the alter and didn’t consider dating until he met Abby. They were great together, but she doesn’t think she’ll stay. There’s some drama with his ex too. But thankfully they finally got their happy ever after.
I love to read Ms. mcCray’s western when I want light hearted romantic read. Abby and Brady have to work through some baggage and predisposed ideas of what they want in life, but their love brings them together.
If you enjoy reading about a couple that really get to know each other and fall in love. You will totally enjoy this book. Looking forward to reading more from this author.
Brady has the misfortune to almost marry the wrong woman who left him at the alter. Would he and Abby be able to make a life? This story is engaging and sweet with a little heartbreak. You'll enjoy the read.
This is the first book of hers that I've read, and it was very enjoyable. The characters were very likable, except the ex, of course, and the story kept you engrossed.
I so enjoyed the relationship of Brady and Abby. It was a little frightful when Abby's dad died and Brady was going to lose Abby but the ending was so beautiful!
I actually enjoyed this story with one gnarly issue. She sells fences for ranches, which also feeds her enjoyment of wanderlust. He got jilted by a woman who left him at the altar, and fears wanderlust. Alas, she breaks her leg and has to stay in area (really?!? Only til cast sets and she can drive 1 legged) … and then the B&B goes up in flames and he moves her onto his ranch. So, she stays on ranch quite a while to heal. Long enough to deepen the issues with the ranch and to fall in love.
