Primal Payne #2

Hell's Fugitive

Rate this book
Never get high when summoning demons.

Life should be grand, as I don’t have to pay rent, I’ve got a cushy job, and I live with my two and only friends, a smack-talking ghost and a sentient rock who can wizard far better than I ever could. There is the minor issue of keeping Payne happy, but all we’ve got to do is summon a demon every so often for him to snack on. It should be easy enough, but as predictable as an English summer picnic getting rained on, we mess up BIG, accidentally freeing an elder demon from her prison in Hell.

It doesn’t get any better as this psycho hellspawn has taken a liking to me and her way to express such infatuation is to murder a load of innocent people and crush my soul into submission. I hate to admit it, but I need Payne to beat her, or a fate far worse than death waits for me.

Ever since I was a little kid, I’ve always been fascinated by the villain. They always seemed to dress so damn smooth, have badass weaponry, wanted to change the world, and took no s*** from no one. The fact that they were all so cool, negated the fact that they were constantly losing. Also, they never gave up on the crazy s*** they believed in, even though they'd get whooped in the most humiliating of ways. They'd keep coming back with some insane new plan and give it another go. That admiration has still stuck with me when it has come to the stories I love, ones about badass and persistent losers with crazy f***ing ideas. So, that is what I try to write.

My star-sign is Cthulhu. This means I am patient, hardworking, thoughtful, and I have an insatiable desire to conquer the world.
