Bestselling and award-winning author Bronwyn Jameson grew up on an Australian farm where she developed a lifelong love of animals and the written word. Happily she was able to marry the two working as a rural journalist before a magazine article introduced her to Romance Writers of Australia and the possibility of a new career writing the books she loved to read.

After five years, a handful of contest wins and an equal number of rejections from Harlequin Mills & Boon, Bronwyn received the phone call all aspiring novelists dream of: Leslie Wainger at Silhouette Books wanted to buy the manuscript she'd judged in the Romance Writers of New Zealand Clendon Award.

Silhouette Desire published In Bed With The Boss's Daughter in July 2001. Since then Bronwyn has continued to write take-to-bed romance for Desire, winning contests such as The Aspen Gold, The Write Touch Readers' Award and the Anne Bonney Readers' Choice. In 2006 she was a triple RITA finalist with her Princes of the Outback trilogy and a nominee for the Romantic Times Series Storyteller of the Year.

As well as strong Australian heroes and spirited heroines, her stories feature all kinds of animals including an energetic Border Collie named Mac, a jet black racehorse named Stella, an attack cat named Gizmo, a talking pony nicknamed Mini Ed, a bitzer named Digger, a Russian Blue named Tolstoy…well, you get the picture.

She still loves animals and the written word. Her home is still a farm in the Australian heartland, which she shares with her husband and three sons, a thousand sheep, half a dozen horses, three dogs, an echidna and a wallaby.

I don’t care for a lot of the new Desire books, or the new direction the line has taken, but Jameson is a longtime favorite and I still like what she does with a story. Hero and heroine used to be engaged, until heroine discovered the hero had plotted with her manipulative father to gain his way into the company by marrying her. She went over to "the enemy" and now, he's contacted her because her father was killed in an airplane crash. This is a very emotional story with a hero who never meant to hurt the heroine, but he did and now he has a chance to make up for it--but he had better do a really good job, or he won't win the heroine. Jameson does her usual fantastic job of it.

Did not like this one at all. First it's a 10 year separation which I hate (because I can only assume that they both slept with numerous other people since was never addressed). Second the whole book was quite boring, it was pretty much family drama, heroines place in her families company, waiting for news of the wreckage and if heroines father was dead or not (yes there was also the romance but I didn't get why hero wanted heroine she was quite bitchy). Third the heroine being infertile was unnecessary. I don't even feel like i really got to know the characters, there was hardly talk of what their lives were in the 10 years. Np.

I couldn't finish it ...I was sooooo bored.
After 150 pages of reading about a plane crash, the family situation, the diamond company situation....the fact they had been separated for ten years ....I was thinking I'm not waiting 10 years for the romance to start either.

sorry but ....don't bother

Kimberly Blackstone's marriage to Ric Perrini was nothing short of unexpected, but it didn't take her long before she felt Perrini had used her for her name to advance higher at her father's company, Blackstone's dimonds.

And advance he did, but not with her at his side. Kim left 10 days after their wedding. Taking a job with the family her father considers the Blackstones worst enemy. Taking the job lead her father to cutting her off and disowning her.

Now, 10 years later, Ric shows up at the airport with news her father's plane has crashed and he's missing.

Ric is nothing less than determined to bring Kim home for good and back to his side. All he has to do is convince her she belongs back at the company, back with her family, and back with him.

Surprisingly it doesn't take much to convince her of all three, but when her brother, Ryan, hints to the fact that Ric once again used her name to gain CEO status she once again begins to doubt his motives.

But Ric is determined to fight for her and shows her his dream for them. What he doesn't expect is for it to be the one thing she can't give him. Children.

Now, he has to convince her his feelings are forever deep and she's the only woman he's ever wanted.

I don't often read from the Desire line. I never did but when I see a good plot, I give them a chance and this story was really excellent. It read like you were watching your favorite soap opera. There was romance, sex, drama and tragedy! All in about 189 pages!

Kimberley Blackstone was a strong heroine that upheld her ideals and Ric Perrini was the perfect hero for her, strong, intelligent and a go getter. Their past marriage made the story all the more exciting. Add to it a plane crash that killed her estranged father and well...it really doesn't get better than this.

This was the first in the Diamonds Down Under series, and I think I'm going to have to go hunting to find the rest. I want to learn more about the Blackstone family and the feud they have with the Hammond branch.

I missed the first 3 books in this series when it first came out some years ago, so I was jumping for joy when they were re-released in May. I absolutely adored the other 3 books in this series and was hungry for more of the Blackstone/Hammond dynasty.

Vows and A Vengeful Groom did not disappoint! The physical, emotional and sensual tension between Ric Perrini and Kim Blackstone leapt off the page from the moment their eyes met across the sea of paparazzi waiting to ambush Kim in Auckland. Both of them are driven, passionate people, but what got to me the most was Ric's dogged determination to win back the woman he loves. After ten years apart he's doing whatever it takes to prove to her that his feelings for her have always been, and will always be sincere.

A solid story about how Ric and Kimberley got back together. Bronwyn presents a story filled with anguish and emotion. A good read if you like the Diamonds Down Under series.
