When I first went to the library I wasn’t expecting to find a book I liked. I was just expecting to find one I knew I could read within the date. The book “No More Prank” has changed how I act in my life. I used to joke around with people and after reading the book I have been nicer.
There’s a kid named Pete who once liked to pull pranks. He doesn’t care what the prank is as long as it gets a laugh. There was one prank that went too far. Pete impersonated his voice to sound like his principal on live radio, and Pete ended up getting suspended from school. During the summer, Pete’s parents sent him to stay with his uncle. Pete’s uncle is a whale watching guide. One day there is a tourist on the water who was putting a whale in danger, and Pete struggled to save the animal.
I would recommend this book to other classmates or friends because it is an easy read and it is a book for any reader’s personality.

I really enjoyed reading this book.At first i thought it was going to be boring because i dont like fish or fishing. After reading a few pages of this book i started liking the book because the main character Pete likes to pull off pranks.Pete was sent to live with his uncle John and Aunt Daisy. After Pete met the girl next door (Rosalie),Rosalie and Pete became best friends.Pete and Rosalie were always watching the whales. On an overnight trip Pete discovered a injured whale that was ran over by a motorboat.Pete stopped pranking so often and Rosalie and Pete came with a plan to lead the cops to the person responsible for runing over the whale.

This book takes place in two different places. The most prevalent location is Tadoussac, a small beach town with many tourist attractions. The main character, Pete, is a serial prankster. In his hometown, he is notorious for pulling pranks at school and home. At the beginning of the story, Pete hatches a solid plan to pull a huge prank on the principal of his school. This prank was effective. It was so effective that he was suspended indefinitely. Rightfully so, his parents were not happy at all. They sent him to his uncle's place in Tadoussac. Here, he did work in his uncle's shop and helped out around tourist attractions. Pete slowly gets more and more fascinated with the whales around Tadoussac and a whole plot develops around them.

The themes in this novel are mostly about animal and environmental positivity. It's nice that they cared about the animals when writing this, but I don't really care about the whales. I will get into this more in the next paragraph. The novel also heavily revolves around honesty and kindness. Pete must learn to be more respectful and stop doing stupid things that get him in stupid situations.

Now onto my opinions. This book was so incredibly boring; that I almost returned it twice. There are so many scenes that feel useless as if the book would have been more entertaining without them. The writer meticulously covered the most minute of details and droned on about the whales. I became tired of the whales very quickly. I understand that this book may be intriguing to an animal biologist, but I would likely not recommend this to anyone. It's just not a book that I would want any of my friends to suffer through. The ending was disappointing, the plot was boring, and the characters weren't realistic. At least this book was only a hundred pages.

I read “No More Pranks” by Monique Polak, I found it really fun and easy to read. It was a really easy book to read, I read it within 2 hours on a Thursday night, consist 100 pages. The main characters name is Pete, he is a well known prankster that most people know in his community. In the beginning of the book he pulls a prank on someone and gets himself into trouble at school. He then get suspended and is sent to his Uncle Jean and Aunt Daisy. They have a kayak gig that they do to give tourist a look around Tadoussac and they would show people the whales. He was sent there because of his pranks, he pulls off more pranks and he gets into more trouble. Throughout the book Pete gets closer to his Uncle Jean, he then gets Pete involved with the whales and Pete gains interest in the whales. Then towards the end of the book there is a problem with the whales, they later resolve it and everything is back to normal.

After reading the book I can say it was a 8/10, there was some action that a reader would enjoy but not to much, some parts of the book would be unnecessary but overall it was a good book. I am one of those types of people that wouldn’t like to read books growing up but this book was ok for me. I would highly recommend this book to someone that doesn’t like to read, I was also recommend this book to someone that just wants to make time go by. Overall the book was short and sweet.

This would be a good selection for teachers to use as a class or individual assignment for reluctant readers (approximately ages 10 -14). Useful to teach basic writing: 5Ws. Nothing too in-depth. Did notice a misspelling that editors missed. That could be a worksheet item for a quiz, fellow LA teachers.

I recommend this book to people who needs to re There's a boy named Pete who likes to play pranks. A prank that he played was that he impersonated his vice principal on a radio call-in show . He goes too far and gets suspended from school. His parents are very upset so they send him to his uncle to work, his uncle works at a whale watching guide (basicly he works with tourist ) .There's another group that also is in the business with whale watching and there was a reckless boat driver and one of the whale gets injured. Pete and his uncle try really hard to save the poor animal but fails. He has to pull the biggest prank off you'll have to read the rest of the book to know what the big prank is and why he needs to prank him …

My opinion on the book
A positive thing about the book is if you had to read a book in a short amount of time it's the perfect size ,also if you're into Whales. it's an okay book .Some negative things about the book are there's not that much action in this book but overall it's an okay book.

Do I recommend it
ad a book in a short amount of time and who like whales and playing tricks on people. In my overall opinion is I really didn't like the book that much like i said before it's an okay book.

I read “No More Pranks” by Monique Polak. When I started reading this book it was boring and it went by slowly. But after I read 3 chapters it got interesting and it grabbed my attention when the main character, which is Pierre, did a prank by copying his principle, but his pranks weren’t a joke. They were very hurtful and people would get mad at him. While I was reading this book I got confused because they switched from one setting to another.
The book cover also grabbed my attention, because the color of it told me that something was going to happen in the ocean and also the summary on the back made sense.
I liked how the author tried very hard to send his message, and he used many words that helped the reader visualize while they’re reading, so it’s like a movie in my head. Some parts in the book were hard to visualize. The ending of this book was very good and strong, I really liked the ending of it. I liked the tittle of the book. I recommend this book to whoever likes kayaking, or who loves the ocean or if you are curious to know how Pierre does his pranks. The middle of this book is what grabbed my attention, the beginning of this book was kind of boring but then you get interested in the book which made me want to keep on going to see what happens at the end.
I love reading Orca Soundings books because they are easy to read and the stories in them are great, so if you love reading these kind I would recommend “No More Pranks” to read, and it’s easy to read, I think you will enjoy it as much I did. So check it out and I hope you all will enjoy it.

No More Pranks by Monique Polak was definitely worth the read. I initially did not want to read it and thought it would be dull by looking at the cover. The cover did not stand out to me but the content sure did! If you are looking for a book that won’t take long at all to read, I would recommend No More Pranks.

The book started off rather strange introducing a young boy named Pete and how he is talking to a doctor on the phone. Pete is really into pranks so of course he pretends to be his teacher on the phone and expressed an odd phobia of “his.” He later gets kicked out of school and forced to go to a summer camp. After being intrigued by whales and meeting a girl named Rosaline, that is when the drama starts to unfold.

This particular book is geared towards anyone who likes pranks or wants a comedy. The more you read of it, the more you realize it’s full of description and drama/comedy. It’s a great book when it comes to forgetting about your life problems and just sitting down to relax and enjoy a nice book. If you don’t mind choosing a book with a dull and boring cover realizing there is a good story within, it will not disappoint.

This book is called No More Pranks by Monique Polak. I like this book because it was funny. I recommend it if you like to pull pranks on people or to have a good laugh. It’s not a really long book so it won’t take you extend time to finish it. The day that I started reading it, I couldn’t stop. I just wanted to know what was going to happen next. This book really got my attention and you should really read this book.

This book is about this kid named Pete that likes to pull pranks on people and there is a really good one at the beginning of the book. Pete was pulling this prank at the beginning where he gets suspended and has to go live with his uncle. His uncle lived out of town by a river. He is still pulling pranks there too. If you want to know all the pranks that he pulls on people from his uncle and at school, you are going to have to read the book and to find out what happens.

This book was about a boy named Peter who lived in Canada. Peter liked to perform pranks on people, although the people didn't like that, he still did it. He was sent off to live with his aunt and uncle in Tadoussac where he helped his uncle run his Kayaking/Whale watching company. Peter had to perform one last prank to help his uncle. This one man named Leblanc also owned a whale watching company except he used zodiacs. When Leblanc got too close to the whale, he cut it. Peter had to help get Leblanc to admit he did it by setting up a trap; he was successful.

I liked this book it's about a boy in school who always pulled pranks. One night he decided to pull a prank on the assistant principle and he was kicked out of school. His parents sent him to live with his Aunt and Uncle in Tadoussac where he worked at their bed and breakfast and watched the whales surface for air because his Uncle was really into whales and their safety. He pulled a few pranks then met Rosalie and she got him to not pull any more pranks on people.

This book is about a boy who got in to some trouble with his school when he pulled a realy bad prank. He was sent to work for his aunt and unkle as a punishment. He learns lots there and says he wont pull any more pranks at the end. This was a very dull book, could have been much better.
