This story is a beautiful hard cover perfect for younger children where the nutcracker is retold with lovely illustrations. It is a good introduction to the classic tale.

Boooo, this edition is so bland. The illustrations aren't much to look at, and the story rhymes. Why? It's weird. I didn't even realized it rhymed until half way through because....it's a story. Not a poem. Not Dr. Seuss.

My point is, there are so many other versions that are magical, with illustrations that make the Christmas spirit come at you.

Obviously I read this book in English, but couldn't find the English listing...
I liked reading this Christmas classic with my little one, but I felt like the storyline was a bit too simplified/rushed. Good illustrations though.
