Chiaki goes on tour with Stressemen, whilst Nodame worries that Chiaki is 'cheating' on her.. little does she know that Chiaki is buying her jewellry, as he starts to realise Nodame's importance to him. Nodame makes a new friend, and finally starts college, finding it rather daunting...

The characters are gaining depth and are no longer just caricatures.

I am so excited to see a manga that really shows how exciting and stressful music school is. I am a musician and it is easy for me to relate to the characters. The book is beautifully drawn. This is not one of the strongest instalments of the series. We get to see Chiaki go out on tour with Stressman, while Nodame beings her music studies in Paris. There is the feeling that this is a transitional volume and that the story and characters are moving on to a new status quo.

Sometimes I found that the story dragged a bit, but the drawing is so wonderful that it is enchanting on its own. It is nice to see that the students get to go to the beach and out of the practice rooms for a change. I look forward to how this series is going to play out.

After focusing on Chiaki, finally the plot is turning to Nodame. In the end, it is a slice of life but with more comical relief than drama, even though for Nodame it has turned in that way because Chiaki left (and against his will of course).

What I liked is that the characters are becoming more human, like in real life, and also the music school life. Not everything is sweet, but this is what happens to some in the first days of school. However is just to get used to a new way of life.

About Nodame's jealousy, the first time I read the volume, I saw it too ridiculous and absurd from her behalf to think that Chiaki can "cheat on" her. But after been in a relationship myself, I started to understand that the issue here is not mistrusting the partner, the issues are personal insecurities and lack of self confidence, which can lead you to think and imagine even the most nonsensical situations and events. One of Nodame's flaws is that she wants to be famous in short time so she can join with Chiaki.

It is an irony that when both Nodame and Chiaki are far off each other, Nodame struggles while Chiaki gets better and starts to acknowledge Nodame's importance in his life.

i watch, dorama version :

Nodame - Noda Megumi is a girl who like playing piano since she is a little girl, but weirdy she can't read a music score ?? She play it with Cantabile Style - when she hear another people playing piano, she can remembered it and played it. She is a little like stupid girl who cannot cook and really lazy to clean her apartement where she live.

One day when she meet with Chiaki-sama - the son of a famous pianist who have a dream becoming a famous conductor. But too bad his fear of flying make his dream must wait. she teaches Chiaki something that he has forgotten for a long time that is to enjoy the music we play / hear no matter when and where.

I miss the S Orchestra; Mine, Masumi... And most of all, I miss the Concerts, the passion of Nodame playing the piano. Sure there are Concerts, where Chiaki is competing, but it is not the same.

The good thing is that it looks like Chiaki is finally realizing he more than 'like' Nodame. To buy her a jewelry is pretty huge for him!
