The story is original and has some very good pages of reflection. This book is definitely useful for a better understanding of what makes us human. However, I didn’t like the flow of the story: it hasn’t got clear chapters and sometimes it’s hard to follow.

Quemando libros.

I think that this book conveys a good message when it comes to dystopian worlds and past events. The first thing i noticed is that some of the things/electronics they have in the book we now have, another topic that i noticed is that it kinda has a side about suicide, for example Montags wife Mildred has an addiction to sleeping pills and eventually overdoses on them, then Beatty the firefighter when Montag burned him with the flame-thrower he never moved, and i found that weird which made me think if he actually wanted to die, and the old woman who got burned alive because she didn’t want to leave her books was another part in the book that i found interesting, because it shows that literature is very important in this book and overall in the world. Overall this book is a great book but lengthy.

3.5 Stars — I am trying to read some modern classics this year and this has been on my TBR for a while. This story was hard to follow at times but it was super powerful. It tossed us into a dark dystopian reality where there’s no individual thought, no books or deep thinkers and constant stream of vapid entertainment. I was surprised at the ending and feel like I’ll be thinking about this one for a while.

A world that treats knowledge as a problem and where the government controls so many aspects of life that you fear the control government.

Was this book a hyperbolic take on society or a guide for the future all of “us” (scientific educated) would live within?

Can tell why it’s a classic. Themes were very relevant and story was very imaginative. Ending went kind of wild

E sinceramente me ne pento.
Informatevi, leggete, siate consapevoli, e soprattutto siate empatici.

Amazing book, I had to read it in my English class this year and I was very surprised.

I usually hate any school books but this one opened up to me. Ray Bradbury is an incredible author and the way he writes is magnificent. He's opened my eyes and changed the way I see the world around me.

The book seeps into my skin and gives me a burst of adrenaline.

Some parts were hard to understand and follow, but it was published in 1953 so I don't mind as much.

The amount of symbolism in this book is insane. The porch, the lights, the books (obviously), the mechanical hound, the fire (also obvious), and many more! Absolutely wonderful.

Mr. Bradbury had an amazing view on how the world will turn out in future years. So amazing its practically back to back in today's world.

I wish him well rest knowing each book he's published has and always will change other's lives, like my own.

Fahrenheit 451 is a novel about a dystopian world where they burn books to keep the citizens unknowledgeable. The fact that this world relies on technology to function makes the citizens feel unfulfilled. The purpose of this book is to relay how fast our world can turn upside down due to an overuse of technology and censorship. Another purpose of this book was to persuade readers to be knowledgeable, and educate themselves to avoid being told what to think by the government. The positives are that this has some great concepts and demonstrates a great idea that can be applied to the real world today. The biggest negative is that it could be hard to follow for less experienced readers, or more experienced readers could find this dystopian idea repetitive and the ending predictable. Personally, I loved this book because it was the perfect speed and reading level for me to understand without it being extremely boring and too predictable.

i loved it!!
rather than being about the importance of books which it clearly states it isn’t, it is about the importance of thinking and remembering. history is doomed to repeat itself, it is those who remember that hold hope for the future.

with short form media taking over no one really thinks. what faber told montag holds so much relevance in today’s time. with screens screaming at you, a laptop open while you’re using your phone, there is no time to think- it’s denham’s dentriface.

no one even reads books anymore we did this to ourselves we always to everything to ourselves and the future generations have to suffer what we chose or did not choose to do.

is crazy i loved this book, could not put it down f451 i love u thank u for making me stop and think for a second

Four stars because four and a half doesn't exist, it's really interesting.
I personally loved to read it, the dystopian and uncanny feeling while reading it was there. The book is even better with the graphic novel to picture the hard to read parts.

The book I very wordy, and has weird smiles and metaphors that are not from this time. It's also a hard read when you realize the suicide feeling from the his wife, and I feel like its such a symbol on why its banned because I feel like it describes our current government a it is right now.(2026)

Wonderful flow, very powerful, couldn’t put it down. Its not a long read (150 ish pages), which isn’t something I tend to like, but i make an exception in this case. You really feel for the characters when you read this. And feel for the fictional society as a hole. So consumed with self-indulgent hedonistic thought they thought couldn’t imagine the qualms of the world affecting them. “It will be a quick war, over in 48 hours. Well, they were right about that.

They made me read this in my English. I was contemplating if I should skip the reading and rely only on study guides. Surprisingly, I found reading it quite enjoyable and fun. The story was interesting, but for me, the ending was lacking.

My thoughts: Good read. However, I would've probably never read it if it was solely for pleasure purposes and not for school.

A wonderful book about burning books that makes me want to read many more books! An incredible dystopian illustration of the current dumbing down of civilization; embroiled by ephemerality and idiocy as the gap widens between the minority of intellectuals.

Afterword was filled with comical satire.

I was really excited to read this book because I had heard a lot of good things about it. I really enjoyed the first maybe 100 pages, but then I just started to lose interest and ending up giving up on it before the end. I just thought that there isn’t enough to the plot and I didn’t like the characters.

Lectura obligatoria.
